It's because Saban Bands is only relying on Nostalgia, and children under the age of five who don't know/care about plot and only want "Colored spandex punching monsters".

They aim for the kids who just stopped watching Nick Jr, but aren't old enough to watch "iCarly" or "Victorious"

Everyone can watch iCarly or Victorious. Their so charming.

Creepox? I agree.

I really, really hope that, like MMPR, they expand him beyond his footage. Malkor and Vrak are just kind of there, very generic PR villains. But Creepox has that sense of actual threat. He's aggressive, has good dialogue, a cool voice, and an intimidating presence. Part of Goldar's coolness before he got silly was his ties with the Red Ranger, then the Green/White. Creepox has that same sense of rivalry, which I hope they continue. Part of the nostalgiac appeal is that MMPR had memorable villains. Malkor and Vrak, not very memorable, but so far the monsters of the week and Creepox have filled that role.

Right now the bad guys actually seem like a menace. I hope it remains this way and Saban doesn't revert to its favored method of making villains seem absolutely moronic.

Vrak will probably get better as the season. We are going to see his royal family which may be the Zangyack in season 2.

What was up with all the Jordan focus? Is he going to be a sixth ranger? I mean they made it a point to keep saying his name like they wanted us to remember it. And instead of him just being a 'punk who learns a quick lesson' he actually shows that he's learned from his 'training'. **** the fact that the Red Ranger gives him a training lesson screams Sixth Ranger material here. Is he silver knight?

Might as well let him keep it, if it can't be hid. And besides, I find it offensive they even do it in the first place, but if he was written as Gokai Silver's parallel, he'll be able to be a Silver ranger without any suspicions, particularly since he lied about being one the first time.
