Power Rangers 2009-Do you want the Machine Empire back?

I've been in the camp that if there was one group in the Ranger mythos that gave the Rangers a tough time and who were almost impossible tobeat it was certainly the Machine Empire.
The waves and waves of soldiers, jets, robots and weapons were almost too much for the Rangers. You couldn't even fight a Cog unmorphed or you fanny would be handed to you(what was left of it)

They returned in Forever Red (as opposed to the Dark Spectre cult) and frankly Go-Onger's villain group is well, Machine Empire 2.0

Everything is there, advanced Cogs, air strike force, steam coming out of their heads.

The Machine Empire is a strange beast, there are at least two groups mentioned plus Mondo's splinter group of generals in FR. One of these jokers could be Archerina's father that was mentioned way back in Zeo.

Rita Repulsa so owned them with a bomb in that one episode.

But on a serious note:

Not that I care since I honestly don't watch it, but in my opinion the whole robot empire thing & villians just aren't as good.

Kind of.... I would like for PR to return to a more.. well, Adventures in the PR Universe, versus the new pockets that don't seem to acknowledge the past.

But I was never a fan of the Machine Empire. I need at least half the villains in human form, so we can at least have one evil femme fatale.

If they manage to find a way to get around the fact that the last of the Machine Empire was crushed in Forever Red, then sure, I'm on board :thumbs:

I don't even want Power Rangers 2009 to happen because its just too cute and you all know, PR is more serious stuff and all ....

I've noticed that Go-Onger is filmed in a such a way that you won't even have to show the talking bits of the mecha or the robo pretending that moving it's arm and such looks like the mecha is talking.

I think this could be a fun show like PRT and PRNS.

I always loved the Machine Empire, love the idea of an evil race of Machines.

If they don't call them or relate them, somehow, to the machine empire, I will lose all hope. This is so fucking easy it's not funny. You dont have to connect them with anyting. You dont have to watch 100s of episodes to make sure you dont step on toes or contradict facts. That's impossible to do.

All you gotta do is call them a new rising Machine Empire that struggles to reclaim their dominance and revenge against the planet that almost wiped them out. That's it. All you gotta do.

But I wouldnt hope for it. I highly doubt it.

It would be a good excuse to bring back Gasket and Archerina since it was never confirmed if they were destroyed in C2D. And like 2nd Evil mentioned, a way to bring King Aradon into the forefront.

Personally I would like to see the Machine Empire return, this time led by Gasket and Archerina. But the question that I want to see answered is: what has Master Vile been doing all these years. I think he'd be the perfect enemy for a future anniversary episode or series.
