That's incredibly unlikely. This kind of event with this kind of massive results takes years to either fix or break, depending on how you look at it. The only time something gets fixed FAST is if there's a massive backlash, like when Wizard led the anti-Clone Saga charge.

This ending was just as messed up as it began. I honestly feel that Stark's methods were far from patriotic or heroic. He's become as controlling and manipulative just as much as any of the villains have proven so far. The Marvel universe has been torn asunder with this series. Identities have been revealed, friendships and alliances have been destroyed, and lives have been wrecked as a result. The concept of a hero has been dumbed down to that of a weapon to be used by the government's whim
What the hell is Nick Fury doing anyway? S.H.I.E.L.D. is being demonized by Stark and his dumbass ideals.
People argue about guns and how they can protect AND kill? Guns are manufactured, they don't exist for anything other than to shoot a bullet. People aren't guns, they have reasons to exist aside from protecting people.

Well, here's how I think that they could retcon the Spidey thing:
Reed created a clone of Spidey when he first joined the Pro-registration, just in case he decided to turn on them, and he's stashed away somewhere. Some time later, the clone awakens and thinks he's Spidey, gets a costume, and starts swinging around town. Later, someone sees the other Spidey and Pete together, and everyone assumes that Pete isn't Spidey, and he gets arrested for impersonating a superhero.

Overall, CW #7 was a disappointment to me. There were some good moments, but overall, it was just...ugh. Cap's last minute epiphany felt forced and contrived, but then again both him and Iron Man have felt out of character to me throughout this whole mess. Now Cap's in jail, Stark's in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D and everything's royally unravelled. And about to get infintely worse with the Hulk's return looming on the horizon.

personally, I think poor Spider man has had enough at this point, last thing he needs is for the clone business to come back (The Jackal, Spidercide, Ben/Scarlet Spider, etc) Truth to be told, Spider man is the only Marvel series I occasionally read from time to time, and sometimes a bit of Iron man (the latter I'll only spit on unless something happens)
The only thing that would possibly redeem Marvel as of now would be a complete deus ex machina.

please enlighten me, since I've only been following Civil War from time to time. WHY does the Hulk's return signify the end of everything? I mean, yeah he's the Hulk, but it's not like he hasn't been subdued before.
