Anything could be better than Magma, Aqua and Peta, I mean Plasma.

I could understand Magman and Aqua...but Plasma had a good motive going for them.

i think i am one of the only ones that isnt impressed with the new starters.the graphics are nice but the 2 legendarys look like merged pokemon.

I liked Galaxy Gang. I mean, Akagi\Cyrus was a pretty decent character and there's decent amounts of backstory potential on how he ended up like that or Pluto\Charon's friendship with Rotom.

Mars seemed to have feelings for Akagi in the anime (I know, anime!= games but, work with me here) and you could build on that for a character thread. etc. etc.

I mean the main games, and the last one was just the Samurai game crossover with Pokemon , so I don't count those.

If they just inserted some of those epic ideas into the games, I might just like them more and be more secure in investing for a 3DS XL.

It's been awhile since i last bought a Pokemon game, but playing Crystal and Yellow on emulators lately has got me somewhat interested in the franchise again.

Moving from 2D to 3D is helping me pique my interest too, I might have to pick this one up when it comes out.

If you have/get a Nintendo DS Lite, u can pretty much catch up on all the games minus the old GB ones.

But what your asking for is a different style of gameplay which is not what the main games are about. Alternate gameplay get alternate titles. Also you "don't count those"? Did you play Conquest? Cause it's freaking amazing.
