This frelling breaks my heart. I just don't know who else could possibly do these movies the justice they deserve.

Well, I know I'm alone in my opinion, but I don't think he did that great a job to begin with. Fellowship was amazing no doubt, but I didn't like the other 2.

Get Kevin Smith to direct it, just so we can have Bilbo flat out brick in Gandalf's mouth with Randall watching.

No Jackson, no Weta. Weta really turned out some excellent effects and I just don't think I can bring myself to see a Hobbit flick without Weta.

Well, MGM says that Jackson is not quite out of the loop. They have the distribution rights for the Hobbit so they might have a decent say in who directs the film. We'll have to see how this all plays out.
