OT: I'm taking a MAJOR caution with this...

...and I TRUST Keith's word. But, here it goes....

Apparently, in my time away, I have re-discovered my Christianity.

Again, I'm giving you another chance to hit that back button....

....you have been warned. I trust we start absouloutley NO arguments here. Please. This is one of the best things that has ever happened to me...

----

Anyway, I thought I REALLY was going camping. Woods, trees, tents, blah blah, but no. This is a retreat camp. Like, a Christian retreat camp. So anyway, on Saturday, my dad requested (because the same thing happened to him), that the youth pastor named Jeremy (he's really cool. Like, he used Spider-Man as a way for me to understand something) to have me re-discover my religion and find Jesus again. I accepted (after at least 50 minutes dripping wet because I just got out of the pool, crying my ass off because this was a huge decision, as I thought this would only take 10 minutes.)

Anyway, I thought I would tell you guys because...

A.) I love you guys that much
B.) This is one of the most glorious things that has happened to me.

Anyway. I just thought I would tell you.

Thanks again.

This is really sobering to hear from you man. I`m a christian too and I want you to know you`re not alone hear. We`re acustomed to our own self opinions but sometimes hearing the thoughts of others makes us question that. Just go with whatever drives you and follow that path. Don`t worry about what anyone else thinks.

Well what else to say other than Congrats. Im curious to know what they said, how they used spider-man to explain things for you. What made you finally "accept" in the end. What was running through your head. That sort of stuff.

Im not terribly religious. Well, I accept Jesus and all that good stuff but I dont practice religion nor do I visit church. So it's a loose acceptance. But still, Im interested knowing how things trasnpired for you.

It must have been kewl for you to be all giddy and telling us all.

rock on man. I've ALWAYS been a religous bloke. just as long as I never see you on a street corner screaming at pedestrians. :198:

I saw that today! Thing was he wasn't saying anything. It was all nonsensiical gibberish.

Yeah, the Spider-Man thory.

When I was first asked this, I was kind of scared. Since I was born, I was always Catholic, with many traditions. Becoming Christians, well, PJ (Pastor Jeremy) read me a few versus from the bible about really praying for acceptence in Jesus. He even asked "Would you like to become Christian?"

I was shocked. I mean, sure they're much a like, but they're very different too.

But I am pretty religious, so I accepted.

In Spider-Man, Peter wanted to accept the life of responsibility. That's the devotion to Jesus.

But he also wanted to live a normal life. That's me, trying to stay Catholic.

That's about it. He wanted to hold on to the two. I wanted to hold on myself. It was VERY diffucult for me, but I am much happy about the results.

Thanks! ;)

LOL! I've seen that before myself. As much as I do believe Judgement Day is coming (Not the PPV! ), I won't go out in the street. Hehe.

Thanks!

I was a devoted Christian once... I'd have to say I picked up some positive qualities from my stint as a man of God.

Congrats to ya, Ryuki.

yeah, congrats. I'm not christian, so I wouldn't really understand all of this....I mean, for judaism, my dad is grew up being very strict, and was like that to me as a kid, but I just grew out of it. I think that the moment I blew off high holiday services to go ECW's Anarchy Rulz ppv(the event where Taz dropped the ECW title), I knew I wasn't really hooked on it.
