OT: I'm taking a MAJOR caution with this...

I'm a spiritual, but I don't really confine myself to one religion or do anything evil (y'know, like sacrifice goats... unless they REALLY have it coming), but it's refreshing to hear that people still have some convictions. Congratulations pal.

Congrats dude, I'm a Christian too but I don't think I am because I don't believe in any of it. I go with historical and scientific facts. So in the end, I'm no Ned Flanders. XD

I'm a pure-blood Roman Catholic because both my parents hail from Spain. However I try to stay open to religion as to some can be quite interesting, but I certainly am not interested in converting to another religion.

This board doesn't cease to amaze me. The freedom and candideness with which you all speak (post), it's humbling.

KRRyuki...I really have to hand it to you. Way to really truly express what "It's all about." And the reception to your news - major major props to you guys, really. And yeah, I know how that feels - that amazing feeling you get - it's indescribable, but not to discourage you, in fact I mean the opposite. When it fades, but doesn't dissapear, or you just wanna chat, feel free to talk or whatever, anytime. Seriously dude, welcome to the family ^_^*

Someone mentioned something about Ned Flanders - lol. Hmm, anyone who knows me should know I'm a pretty science-oriented person too, but it's totally and is not unheard of or impossible for a Christian to believe in both God and in science.

That's about it. He wanted to hold on to the two. I wanted to hold on myself. It was VERY diffucult for me, but I am much happy about the results.

Thanks! ;)

Yeah but what made you switch? Was it just just everyone wanted you to or did something make sense to you? Was there something about Catholics that you didnt like compared to being Christian? (Like I said, Im just curious is all)

The spider-man analogy seemed kind of lame. Cause he says "you want to hold onto both" but who said you had to give up the first and adopt the second? Im wondering why you abandoned the first and went for the second myself. Why you felt that urge to go for it. What went through your mind when you finally said "yeah, I will become christian despite what I grew up knewing".

(Im not trying to attack. Just very curious. Something I want to know)

Not to speak for him, but when I became a Christian the bible and all the lessons I learned finally made sense to me. For me it was like finally finding the missing piece of the puzzle after years of trying to fit in the wrong piece.
