Thoughts?

I am in NO way homophobic, but I'm not sure how I feel about this one.

Those must be some pretty sorry girls at that highschool if everyone there preferred some guy over them.

A couple years back the local gay theater boy (and stage singing and dancing prodigy) was the runner up for Prom King at my old high school.

It's turn of the millenium...nothing is surprising anymore.

Students shoot up schools...Mexicans are branded terrorist...the Devil Rays made it to the World Series...the Red Sox and White Sox won championships...shoes are thrown at politicians...we get a African American president...so this isn't that surprising.

I don't agree with this scenario, not because I don't like gay people, but because he's not even a girl. I doubt that's the kind of "queen" the school was looking for.

Prom Queen and King is whoever people want it to be. I don't think this is big news.... seems like in a post 1991 world being gay has exponentially become more and more of a non-issue.

Doesn't mean anyone of those kids deserves an award or any ground or rules have been broken... in the end it just means they have a high school population that has a sense of humor and are easy going.
