Another possible scenario could be that shortly after her son was born, Rita "left" Zedd with the baby to pursue obtaining the power we all saw in MF. As time continues, the son questions his past, and what his mom was like. Zedd tells him the whole story (including his evil past), alongside why Rita left him. The son then starts to question the "good power" that his mom had left to pursue because it resulted in him not knowing a mother, and his dad being left alone. The son proceeds to search for his mom. On his journey, he learns of the "two sides" to power, and chooses to believe evil is superior. He then comes across the new rangers (OO), and has intentions of getting revenge because he believes the "good" is responsible for him not knowing his mother.

That does has potential. Now the question is... would they dare to show what they established of the Mother of all good magic as someone who leaves her child?

Well, not as someone who left her son, but it would be as if she needed to leave to obtain the power. Which IMO, is understandbale. I mean, wouldn't you leave your family to reach power and protect the world?

Plus, it wouldn't have been like she wanted to. Though, her son would think otherwise.

That's true, as far as Disney can do w/e the hell they want. But FR is full of plotholes.

Yeah I hope it's a new suit...the Bouken monsters suck IMO.

Maybe the son will actually be a criminal from the SPD time and go back to the OO time, thus explaining Sky? Maybe he'll have his dad's helmet or staff! That'd be cool. Even if it's just a guy in a light costume (like Ransik) it would still look better than the lame monster designs used in Boukenger.

Seriously Boukenger was a bad year for costume designs beside the Ranger suits. Ugly monsters with big heads, ugly WAY over complicated mechas...meh.

I could care less for a team-up. I mean Disney has come to the point where they're simply taking, not only Toku footage, but Toku ideas as well. A team-up with different rangers? It's your typical "...vs. SS" movie. But who can complain now, we have to wait to actually see it to do so, no?

And what's with all the Johnny hype? Sure, it's great to have a veteran from the MMPR era, but he's turning into another JDF. Disney is just lucky he said yes, and is one of the few who actually gives a crap about giving back to the fans.

Bouken monsters were alright. I think what happened was they wasted the best of their efforts on the main villains like the Questers and Ryuoun, and just pulled out the rest. But I doubt the son will be a monster.

Your SPD idea isn't half bad, but I doubt Disney would actually take that into consideration. Then again, the team up alone was surprising to me, so there's a chance I suppose :eyebrow:
