OK... recommend me some horror movies!

I'm one of those that aren't scared of horror movies.
But lately I've felt like watching some...
It's halloween time and all and it's the first time I feel like getting into the spirit of it. So all month I've decided to watch horror movies everyday. But there's one problem... I don't know which ones are scary scary and not just typical slashers such as freddy, jason, etc. Those horror icons won't scare me at all.

Oh yea... the only movie that scared the living crap out of me was Exorcist.

I always recommend classic horror movies, but since you don't like slashers I would go with...

-Carrie
-Poltergeist
-The Haunting
-Children of the Corn

The Resident Evil movies are supposed to be horror movies. I didn't see how they were scary though. Hmmmm watch them at night? lol
The Eko Eko Azarak movies are horror movies. That one is freaky Eko Eko Azarak III Misa The Dark Angel. I don't find anything scary though so idk how to tell ya about scaryness. Texas Chainsaw movies, 1408(sucked by the way), Hanibal movies, Jeepers Creepers, See No Evil(sucked too), uhhhhh that's about all I can think of at the moment. Oh yeah, Steven King's It. :laugh:

The original Universal Studios monster movies from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, the Hammer Studios Frankenstein, Dracula and Mummy movies that starred Peter Cushing as Dr. Frankenstein and Van Helsing and Christopher Lee as Dracula. Full Moon Studios' Puppet Master trilogy, anything directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Fukasaku's Samurai Reincarnation and Satomi Hakken Den which both starred Sonny Chiba, the Japanese Ringu trilogy that was the basis for Dreamworks' the Ring. also Roger Corman's movies that were based on Edgar Allan Poe stories which starred Vincent Price, Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff. Anything with Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Sr., Lon Chaney Jr., Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, or Christopher Lee in is good. anyway those are my suggestions.

The original "Dawn of the Dead". Possibly the best zombie movie ever! If you want to go for nostalgia, try the original Frankenstein movie as well as Dracula.
