North Korea Shell's South Korean Island, World War Looms

Yeah, so if you guys are watching the news, you know that the DPRK has conducted a Artillery Bombardment of the small ROK island of Yeonpyeong.

So far reports say 2 dead, 16 wounded.

It seems the South was conducting a naval exercise in the area when the North opened fire at the Island, which houses a ROK military base, with 100 shells. The South replied in kind, firing some 80 shells back.

So the two Korea's stand again on the brink of war. Some are likening this to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, in that it could be the spark that sets off another World War.......

Reports now say that Japan is "preparing for any eventuality" and is on high alert.

If War does erupt, the first place it will spill over into will be Japan.

 Nothing new here. You're talking about two countries that have been on cease fire from over half a century now. It was always bound to happen. As for it leading up to a World War, I highly doubt that.

It's too early to call it the beginning of World War III, but I hope this conflict does not involve the world, otherwise all hell breaks loose.

Well, that is true.
Though a seemingly unprovoked attack by the north is kind of serious business.

Yeah, but it's things like this that tend to start War's.
