Not at all. Personally, the only film in the series that I really give a damn for is the original ALIEN anyway. Besides, shouldn't we be cheering originality in Hollywood instead of lambasting it?

Um, no. This won't be original to begin with. It's going to take a ton of **** from the Xenomorph.

Hopefully James Cameron will jump in and do the new actual Alien flick.

How do you know how original or unoriginal the film will be? All we know about the film is its title and that's it. If they wanted to use the Xenomorphs then they wouldn't have scrapped the Alien-universe film to create something entirely new.

Hear-hear. I honestly was like "whatever" when they were talking this prequel crap, and the only thing keeping my interest slightly peeked was the involvement of Scott and Giger. But now we're getting a wholly original movie, cut from the same cloth as Alien, and made by the same guys? Color me excited.

According to one of the articles, Ridley Scott said he was keeping alot of the story and theme of the "monster" in this movie from the Alien prequel script. Either way this is shitty news for Alien fans.

Do we really need to go to more Alien movies when we can spend our money on a new Den-O movie.
