NFL 2012-13 Season Official Discussion Thread

It's not totally the commissioner's fault though. It's more on the 32 team owners when I was watching sportscenter. They don't want to pay the referees.

I didn't watch the game, but I saw the recap on espn. But that was terrible officiating.

31 owners, Packers are publicly owned ;).

Yeah I'm sure the debacle has embarrassed the NFL so much that they have finally caved in and made a deal with the real referees. Finally! It took that hail mary play to make this all happen. I never thought I would be so happy to see the real refs. Now we can enjoy the games with real legit calls and not phantom interference calls or granting Coaches timeouts. Lol...I wonder about the details of this deal though to see who caved in or just agreed to whatever deal.

The lockout dispute between the league and the refs was ultimately over the ref's pension plans.........which the league's owners didn't wanna give to the refs anymore.

But judging by some of the few details of the newly tentative agreement, the league granted the refs to retain their pension plans.

So in other words, THE NFL FUCKED CAVED B/C THEY FINALLY REALIZED HOW FUCKING STUPID THEY WERE FOR ALLOWING DUMBASS REPLACEMENTS TO OFFICIATE THIS GAME INSTEAD OF COMING TO CIVIL AGREEMENT WITH THE PROFESSIONALS

So to that Roger Goodell, here is my message to you for this entire debacle :loltongue: :P

Totally agree with you.

Anyways, Week 4 is pretty much done. The 49ers pitched a shutout to those annoying Jets. I used to like the Jets and never hated them. But the media covers them so much (especially after Tebow joined them) that it has made me despise them. I didn't want to see a shutout but it happened so I was glad to see the defense making plays. The offense was good especially the running game but I have to admit that our passing game has regressed. Hope that gets fixed. I said it before and I will say it again, I won't be surprised if Rex Ryan no longer has a job after this season.

The Packers barely defeated the Saints in a good game. Lol at Hartley missing the game-winning FG when he had made it the first time. The Broncos whooped those Raiders and shocking that the Cardinals are still undefeated. They are looking like a contender so far. Can't wait to see them play the Niners now.

I didn't expect the 49ers to whip the Bills that bad. It was awesome to see as Alex Smith and everyone else was on fire. Finally, Alex has a 300-yard game and a win to go with it. Many of us fans have been wanting to see that and it has finally happened. The haters can stop hating now especially Jamie Dukes of NFL Network. Happy to see Crabtree and Vernon Davis get 100-yards receiving and happy to see the team break an NFL with 300 yards total rushing and 300 yards passing in the same game. Good lord. I can't....wait for next week's NFC Title Game Rematch.

In other news, Drew Brees and the Saints finally got their first win of the season against the Chargers. Where the hell are you daoutlaw? Haven't heard from you for a long time now. The Falcons are still undefeated as they knocked out the Redskins and RG3 in the process. The Chiefs fans cheered when Matt Cassell got out knocked out as well. What has this world come to? It's like hearing the 49ers fans chant "We Want Carr! We Want Carr!" on national television. Crazy.

Boy did the 49ers get their butts kicked today against the defending Champs. We were so heavily favored that it gave the Giants more motivation and they came out prepared big time. The 49ers were barely able to do anything and the awesome offense we saw in the two previous weeks was no where to be found. We didn't go with the running game and tried passing the ball instead and it didn't work out. We tried doing that in the Vikings game and guess where that got us? Yes, we lost. It's clear as day that the 49ers need to establish their game as a run first team and then throw. Not the other way around. Frank Gore had zero carries in the 2nd half. It was a team lost and not the typical cliche "Alex Smith lost the game for us" thing. It was a depressing domination.

1 point...

The Pats lost by 1 point... I'm still thinking that was stupid.

Yeah how the hell did that happen? The Seahawks can't be this good. The NFC West has got tougher and now it's the 49ers turn to see if they can beat the Seahawks. They better since it's at home and because they need to bounce back from the pathetic performance they displayed against the Giants.

Edit: How the hell does Norv Turner still have a job? What an epic choke of a loss that the Chargers had against the Broncos. How do you score 24 points in the first half and not score any in the 2nd? How do you throw 4 INTs in a game? I thought only Tony Romo does that. Lol...
