Probally. But now would be the time for them to grab that Aquaman show they were gonna do back in 2005.

It's waaaay too early to tell if the show is even going to get made, let alone whether or not it will replace Smallville.

Personally I would much rather see the live-action Blue Beetle series be put into production as a replacement for Smallville than a Wonder Woman series doing so.

Yeah, but Blue Beetle is not really a household named.
If anything, thanks to the JLA cartoon, Martian Man Hunter has a better chance to get his own TV series than BB.

It doesn't really matter if he is a household name or not, it matters if he is recognizable by the demographic they are aiming for and he is. Geoff Johns is currently working on a Blue Beetle series, haven't heard much lately about it but the fan reaction to the test footage he showed us a few months ago seemed positive to me.

Hardly. Blue Beetle has been much more popular in Batman: Brave and the Bold than Martian Manhunter was in Justice League. Martian Manhunter was fairly watered down for the DCAU. Hell, they never even used his actual superhero name.

That statement means a whole lot of nothing. Every year brand-new properties make it on television. Treat the property as brand-new.

What's MOST interesting in that Newsarama article is:

News broke late Friday afternoon on both The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline.com, with few details other than the project will be shopped to networks soon and that Kelley had been interested in the Golden Age, World War II-era incarnation of the superhero icon.

Selling THAT might be a bit of work.

That could only really work if they had an episode or two which focused on Hypolotia's stint as Wonder Woman from the comics, it shouldnt be the basis for a full series. They DID try once in the first season of the original Wonder Woman series but within a season switched the setting to the more contemporary 1970s
