Until now they wouldn’t let us see the master of ceremonies behind the Twisted Metal tournament the series is named after. This one gets it over with in the first three seconds: meet Calypso.
If you never saw the first season of Twisted Metal, you should rectify that quickly before the second arrives — it is a lot of fun and you won’t regret it. Season One is mostly setup for Season Two, establishing the characters and their relationship to each other, but they’re written so well that you don’t mind the stalling. Besides, we’re guaranteed a Season Two in which there will be actual car combat, and lots of it.
