I am stoked for this flick. It looks like a bombastic representation of visuals reminicent of the fighting game it's based on, and that's all I really want out of a Tekken movie.

Ah HELL NAW!

Damn, a UK Direct-to-DVD release? That's messed up! It seems like out of any other video game movie adaptation that should be Direct-to-DVD*coughkingoffighterscough*, this doesn't deserve to be. I'm sure it would be highly successful on the big screen in the US.

As much as I would like to agree, that's doubtful. Hollywood needs to realize that fighting game adaptations just don't have a very big fanbase, especially something as cheaply put together as this. That's not to say that it can't still resemble something good, but it could be the best, most faithful video game adaptation of all time and not make a splash in the Hollywood box office, that's just how it goes. It may be better for them to just cut their losses and take what they can get from the DVD market.

Now THIS is a Tekken movie I'd watch LOL

I remember that old shoot, the Xiaoyu bugged me a bit.
But Christie is in the movie, Lili isn't and I'm pretty sure Xiaoyu isn't either but I'm not sure about it.

Actually, that's not a fanmade poster, it's the UK DVD cover. Apparently, Tekken is going to be released straight to DVD in the UK in February, which is kind of a red flag...

Well there goes a theatrical release if that's true.

Just looked it up, Chiaki Kuriyama apparently.

Also it looks like there's some "big" toku names attached to the film as well. Taiyo Sugiura (Musashi Haruno, human host of Ultraman Cosmos) supposedly played Lee Chaolan.

Ok, so from what I understand this movie is already out...on DVD :sly:. Anyways, anyone know where I can find it here in the US? It's still not out on netflix.
