So with it being my favorite anime and manga ever, I am totally psyched to see that we will be getting ourselves a new anime. I'm sort of hoping it'll be an entire series and not just the animated version of the final arc.

Woot! Time to reread some Kenshin!

[KingRanger]

I really loved the original Kenshin anime(except those crappy ova's). I never read the manga. I hope this new series is good, and not just moe fanservice crap.

This is interesting. I don't mind old series being revived with the modern anime technology now. I just hope this new version will be awesome like the original though.

Holy ****!

^What he said.

Seriosly, I need to finish the manga first though. I only have the first 16 volumes .
I was planning on buying a figuart... but in light of this news I'll finish Kenshin first.

As a Nobuhiro Watsuki fan and supporter, I STRONGLY recommend reading the manga. Specifically RIGHT after the Shishio saga. That's where the anime and manga TRULY differs.

I'm hoping that the new anime DOES pick up that story line. I REALLY wanna see Enishi!

[MMPR]

I never watched Rurouni Kenshin...but i've only heard good things about it. So this defiantly motivates me to watch it

Preview of the character design I think. Looks pretty spiffy and a bit closer to the manga's design.

[Lynxara]

Ohoho. Looks like they're doing the "let's be faithful to the manga this time" approach. Makes sense; Brotherhood proved there was a market for it.
