I heard there was going to be another Mortal Kombat movie made. Has anyone else heard this, or factually know wether or not it is true?

August 4, 2005 - Mortal Kombat III, the next installment in the popular fighting game-to-film franchise, will shoot in LA. No, we don't mean L.A. as in Los Angeles... we mean LA as in the postal abbreviation for the state of Louisiana.

If they do get another one out, well Fayt's link said that the guy that played lui kang won't be in there, but it also said that those things could be false, hopefully all of those are false. :anime: As long as they keep the same Sonya Blade from the 2nd movie, Lui Kang, Kitana, & Raiden, I don't care much if the other character's actors change.

March 28, 2007 - It seems you can forget about seeing Mortal Kombat III. Instead, the whole franchise will reportedly be getting the reboot treatment, a la Casino Royale and Batman Begins.

How exactly? It's been ten years since Mortal Kombat: Annihalation sank the franchise, a reboot is better.
