It was released about 2 years after Getter Robo Armageddon. They are separate continuities, though.

Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo is a totally different reality.

Here, the enemies are the original Dinosaur Empire (from the 1974 series) reimagined.

The series takes the Go Ichimonji character (from which Gou of Armageddon is based) and puts him more along his roots in the Shin Getter Robo manga series by Ken Ishikawa (aka Venger Robo)

Neo Getter Robo is in fact powered by Plasma Energy and not Getter Energy. That's all I can say without spoiling.

And Kouji, how come I don't ever see you in The ORB - News and Rumors section? Do you at least lurk around there? Because all the news about Kamen Rider is really interesting, especially about the Double movie and Links!
