The Nuggets have fired Brian Shaw and the players responded by winning their first game in however long it has been last night against the Bucks. It's obvious they weren't trying with Shaw. That team needs a serious makeover. I guess Lakers fans dont need to wonder about how life could've been with Shaw.

I'm really excited for this seasons playoffs because there is no clear favorite to with the NBA title. At the beginning of the season I thought OKC was the best team in the NBA, but they've been dealing with a lot of injuries. Golden State is fantastic but they lack an inside presence. I might sound crazy, but i'm going with the Spurs to repeat, they're record isn't amazing but they've been consistent and healthy all season, and historically Greg Popovich doesn't really care about the regular season

It would've been amazing to see LAC win it all this year, but...The lack of a dynamic point guard and a wing defender hurt them in the worst way. Losing Darren Collison to Sacramento really sucked huevos, and to see Pierce go to Washington and Deng to Miami..ugh....That put Barnes in the starting lineup, leaving NOBODY good to come off the bench for him.
As for Playoffs, Iono. Spurs have been the model of consistency, but based on history, no team BELOW 2nd seed has ever advanced to the NBA Finals, let alone win it all. I know that Regular Season rankings aren't a very reliable indicator of whether or not a team becomes champion, but so far, based on the past seasons, So many teams that are 1-2 seeds in their respective conferences have gone on to become champions, though someone present to me a counter-argument from within the NBA, please. That said, I predict that either Golden State or Memphis (with their brand of bully ball) will win the Larry O'Brien this year.
But who knows? Gregg Pop might defy expectations and make the Spurs the first 7th seed in the NBA to become champs. You know they can. LOL

The Kings can just never beat the Clippers. So annoying. Although tonight's game they didn't have Cousins. Still same old though.
Anyways, the Western Conference is wide open this year. I don't know who will come out on top. It can be the Warriors, the Grizzlies or yeah, maybe the Spurs can play like beasts again come Playoff time. The East is more clearer as it's either Hawks, Cavs and maybe the Bulls if they can get healthy again. Not sure about the Wizards and Raptors anymore as they seem to have their own issues. But wouldn't mind them getting far.

I am so NOT looking forward to the Playoffs. Clippers might get San Antonio first round.

The final day of the regular season has come to an end and it was a mess to figure out especially for fantasy purposes. The Miami Heat were aware that they were out of the Playoffs so Spoelstra sat out everyone on the team except for 6 players. 4 of the players played 48 minutes, Zoran Dragic played 41 mins with Haslem the token 6th man. Michael Beasley went from playing in China to having one of his best games of his career. The Sixers ended up playing 7 guys only. The Heat won the game and the Sixers increase their chances for that ping pong ball. Tanking at it's finest here.
I'm glad the Pelicans defeated the Spurs to clinch the 8th spot and causing the Spurs tumbling down to the 6th seed. Unibrow was clutch. He was a beast out there. Happy to see Tyreke Evans in the Playoffs too. I miss that guy. Shocked the Kings were making in a lot of their shots against the Lakers. The game was not even close. We got a good look at David Stockton (son of John Stockton) too as he was given 19 mins of playing time. The Pacers controlled their destiny for the 8th spot but had the Grizzlies in their way and couldn't get the job done. Sucks for them. The Nets had their hands full against the Magic and looked like they were going to lose. But they must've realized it was the Magic so they rallied hard to get the win. I see them losing quickly in the Playoffs.
