NBA 2012/13 Season Discussion Thread

Wow, what an exciting Game 3 between the Warriors/Nuggets. I was literally glued to my seat while watching the 2nd half. Back and forth scoring and then the lead changes. I had no idea who was going to mess up at the end. But it was the Nuggets who screwed up and still almost won thanks to Jack's jacking turnovers. Iggy's last second heave almost went in too. Man, this series could go either way. Definitely the most exciting series of the First Round so far.

With all the Lakers injuries, there isn't much to enjoy from their series with the Spurs. It's like no challenge now and it just isn't fun to watch basically a "B" squad try to win a game. This is a great time for the Lakers to evaluate Darius Morris and the "Mini-Mamba" Andrew Goudelock before it will end in the next game.

Not much to say about Game 3 of the Knicks/Celtics. Another low scoring affair and the Celtics can't hang with the Knicks without Rondo. I can't wait to watch the Knicks square off against the Pacers.

Take out the brooms as there was two teams that got swept and sent home fishing. We all knew the Heat were going to dispose of the Bucks in 4 games. Lebron didn't even look interested in playing during Game 4. But he still put out a monster game as the Bucks had no answer for him.

The other team that got swept was obviously the Lakers. Dwight Howard sure sent a strong message to the organization by being immature and getting himself ejected in a game where the team really needed him. It was just depressing to watch the Spurs slaughter this D-League lineup of a team. The Jazz should've never failed and made the Playoffs instead. But good job Dwight for getting Magic Johnson pissed at you!

The Warriors slaughter the Nuggets in the second half of their game. Stephen Curry has been a beast all series long. The Nuggets even tried to double him and he was still making it rain. I dont know if the Nuggets will win this series but they are going to have a lot of work to do. I think I hopped on the Warriors bandwagon for sure now. Lol....

The Knicks lost Game 4 so the Celtics can get one last victory for their fans. It's going to be over in the next game. End of story.

The Thunder have dropped two in a row against the Rockets and now maybe the Rockets can come back and win the series. I don't know what happened to the Thunder but they clearly miss Westbrook. No one showed up in this game besides Durant and you can tell there were sequences when he tried to do too much. This really makes me wonder if they can get pass Memphis or the Clippers now.

The Knicks had their ow choke job against the Celtics and now they have a shot to possibly win their series too. Have no clue what happened to the Knicks these last two games. They are getting dominated by KG for one thing though. Carmelo is going to need to make a lot of shots to finally put away the Celtics in the next game.

The Pacers are obviously pretty damn good at home and they took care of business against the Hawks. The question is if they will show up on the road for Game 6. We shall see.

And just as I expected. The Clippers are toast. They didn't have what it takes to beat Memphis this year.

Vinny D is as good as gone. I'm just hoping CP3 stays true to his word and continues to stay.

Well, elimination Friday came to an end and all the teams who lead 3-2 took care of business. The Thunder had trouble with the Rockets but were able to pull away in the 4th. The Rockets should be proud of their effort and now they need to improve their defense for next season. One thing that bothers me about this game was if it Jeremy Lin playing was a bad thing or good thing for the team. He didn't make an impact in his 13 minutes of playing team.

The Clippers disappointed in this first round and now they have a lot of things to fix. Their lack of post game hurt them big time. Deandre Jordan sucks offensively and Blake Griffin still has holes in his game. Shocked Matt Barnes had a big game though. The Grizzlies are a great opponent for the Thunder in the next round.

Both Eastern Conference Game 6's were low scoring so I'm just gonna keep it short. The Knicks collapsed in the 4th but were able to hold off the Celtics. Not sure if they can do that against the Pacers. The Pacers held off the Hawks and it was kinda ugly to watch. Paul George sucks on the road.

Coming into the series, I had a feeling that Memphis was gonna come out on top. I was right.

Thing is, DJ isn't really there to score; His main role is to grab rebounds and play D. Though....Given how Z-Bo and Marc bullied him, He needs to improve those too. Key overall is for Blake to Improve his offensive game. He's got the sweet Up and under move, but....He needs to develop other back-to-the-basket moves, like a jump hook.


Either way...Kind of excited to see the return of Knicks vs. Pacers.

Man, what an exciting day of Playoff basketball. The Warriors choked a big 18-point lead to the Spurs when it looked like they were schooling the Spurs all game long. Tim Duncan even had to sit out the rest of the game due to a stomach flu or whatever. But darn it, Tony Parker and Danny Green made clutch shots to keep the game going. And then, that annoying guy I have always hated Manu Ginobili had to nail the game-winning shot. Darn you. This was a demoralizing loss for the Warriors and I hope they can recover and win. They showed the whole world that they can compete. Please shut up the annoying woman who kept screaming in the crowd too. Sounded like she was getting killed or stabbed out there.

Nate Robinson came through in the clutch to help the Bulls defeat the Heat in a game that got very exciting in the fourth quarter. I thought Lebron was gonna go into beast mode but it wasn't enough as no one else was making shots for the Heat. I'm proud of Nate Robinson and it's shocking to think that he would've been the third string PG had Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich been able to play. The Heat are going to have to work hard to beat the Bulls in the next few games.

The Rockets actually collapsed and their lost to the Lakers dropped them to the 8th seed and the Lakers 7th. The Lakers had no business being a 7th seed and got raped by the Spurs big time. Because the Rockets fell to 8th, they tried to match up their lineups with the Thunder. They put Patrick Beverly to guard Russell Westbrook and due to a little freak accident that shouldn't have happened to Westbrook, it looks like the Thunder's Playoff push is going to end this week. Since Westbrook's injury, the Thunder are a team searching for it's identity. They don't seem to know how to operate in crunch time. Durant gets the ball and he should. But it makes things too predictable so the defense doubles and even triple team Durant leading to missed shots or turnovers. I don't like this at all. I don't see anyway that the Thunder can come back and win this series. Even if they win Game 5, it's going to be over in Game 6. That nice looking 60-22 regular season goes to waste and you can pinpoint this timeline happening from Westbrook's injury or the Rockets fall to 8th seed.

I can't wait until the Heat put the Bulls out of their misery in the next game. That way, we won't have to hear about if Derrick Rose will return and so all their players can rest up from their injuries. Games 3 and 4 were ugly to watch and I don't have much to say about them besides the fact that Dwayne Wade has been looking horrible.
