NBA 2012/13 Season Discussion Thread

lol I better not see you cry if he goes to the Rockets. You're jinxing the **** out of this situation.

The Knicks aren't gonna let a RESTRICTED FREE AGENT like Lin go that easily. They WILL MATCH..........you forget everything about the business side of the NBA *sighs*

Knicks Will Match Rockets' Offer Sheet To Lin
Jul 06, 2012 10:34 AM EDT

The Knicks will match Houston's reported four-year, $28.8 million offer to Jeremy Lin.

“He’s their guy,’’ one NBA official briefed on the Knicks’ strategy said. “They’ll match.’’

Houston is in search of backcourt help after trading Kyle Lowry and failing to re-sign Goran Dragic.

The Nets are now reportedly in talks with the Magic and Cavs on a 3 team trade that would send Dwight Howard to the Nets.

If this trade goes down, the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics will be faced to deal with not a Big 3....but a Big 4 of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Gerald Wallace, Dwight Howard.

...Quite honestly, that could be a better superteam that the Heat.

Marcus Camby is a true journeyman. Can't believe he went back to the Knicks. I remember having old basketball cards of him in the Knicks unis. Anyways, all these trade rumors for Dwight Howard are just ridiculous. I think Howard is too bi-polar and I dont know of I want a guy like that on the team. On the court, he's a beast, but outside the court, he clearly has shown that he thinks he's bigger than the team/city. I actually don't want him to be traded to the Lakers because who would be the best Center in the East? Especially if Andrew Bynum is sent somewhere else due to a third team in a trade. I want Demarcus Cousins to be one of the best Centers in the West. Lol...

Lastly, the Miami Heat have added Ray Allen and now Rashard Lewis to their team. Lewis signed a small two-year contract. Thank god as he was overpaid with his last contract. The Avengers just keep assembling more pieces...

At this point, the Lakers should just trade him Bynum. His name keeps popping up in trade rumors, and I don't think he wants to resign with the Lakers knowing his name will keep popping up. i like Bynum, but if we somehow get Dwight, I will be one happy fan. He keeps saying how he'll only sign with the Nets, but one year living in CA will change his mind. When Kobe is done playing, he'll be the face of the Lakers.

I was quite the Sonics fan back when Lewis and Allen were playing for them. A bit weird now considering I loathe the Heat but now two of my favorites play for them. As long as Billups or Scalabrine doesn't go to South Beach I guess I can deal with it.

Isn't this an awesome sight? :castlerock:

Edit: It looks like the talks with the Nets about trading for Dwight is DEAD.:P Come on, Dwight. You know you want to come to the Lakers.
