My Problems With Rising Ultimate Kuuga Form

Okay we all know Kuuga's forms: Growing, Mighty, Dragon, Pegasus, Titan, the Rising forms of each, Amazing Mighty, and then Ultimate.

So I've never actually seen Kuuga, but the names of the forms seem to say that the Arcle is always growing and shifting.

Every ability the belt possess was spawned from necessity. Mighty can be seen as sorta a Rising Growing form needed for him to actually defeat the Grongi, same with Titan, Dragon, and Pegasus. The Rising forms are when Kuuga has to up the ante against the Grongi. Amazing Mighty is the same way. Ultimate is when it has to get worse, when things are going south and Kuuga pulls out all the stops. This is supposed to be the penultimate form the Arcle can attain.

So what is Rising Ultimate?

They naming convention of Kuuga, specifically the Rising aspect of it, indicates that Kuuga is "rising" to something, he's getting stronger and stronger, getting ready to obtain the "Ultimate" power. What does Rising Ultimate mean? That he's rising to obtain something higher than Ultimate? You can't just tag on "Rising" to the end of something because the series did. The series had a point it was making with the form names. Why not call it "Shin Ultimate" or something along those lines. It just bugs me...

I thought you'd complain about how it was really underused...

Anyway, "Rising" indicates power ups to his standard forms that Kuuga only got after going through near death experiences, with the belt acting to keep his body alive. Only after that experience and some training, Kuuga was able to call upon the "golden power" to strengthen his standard forms, creating the "Rising" forms. It wasn't just a natural progression of his control over the belt, unlike the earlier forms.

As I understood it, this "golden power" wasn't used by his 2 even stronger forms (Amazing Mighty and Ultimate), considering how the belt wasn't gold anymore and the golden power wasn't mentioned again.

I don't remember any Grongis actually showing something similar to his "Rising" forms either, although the other forms were emulated near the ending of the series.

Ultimate Rising, similarly, is an unnatural evolution of his ultimate form, only now completely created by external influences, presumably mixing the "golden power" of the lower Rising forms with the Ultimate form itself, so I think the name fits.

So what is Rising Ultimate?

Rising Ultimate is bullshit they used to sell toys. Period. Say it with me people: There Is No Rising Ultimate Kuuga. I don't particularly care what happened in the Decade movies, its BS. Its fine to sell toys for toys sake within a series own continuity, but when you start mucking up other series' continuity, that's when I get bugged.

Fact: Ultimate Kuuga is *the* Ultimate Form. He can't GET any stronger than that.

Fact: The last person to use Ultimate Form Kuuga died, so how would you use something that's above THAT and live? Particularly when Godai had far more experience with the belt and had gotten used to succesively higher tiers with the Rising Forms.

Fact: Ultimate Kuuga BROKE GODAI'S BELT. And yet somehow Rising Ultimate Kuuga managed to wander around evil while Tsukasa got depressed, did the "Rise, Hero" bit, battled Shocker (and lost), then joined with every other Rider and won. Not only was he able to maintain the form this long then smack Tsukasa around, he manages to use this form AGAIN.

Rising Ultimate Kuuga breaks so many rules its insulting to watch.

Fact: Ultimate Kuuga BROKE GODAI'S BELT.

Ultimate Kuuga in a hard battle against someone on the same level of power broke his belt. It wasn't just the transformation by itself. The belt had been damaged in a previous battle too, although the damage seemingly had vanished afterwards.

Fact: The last person to use Ultimate Form Kuuga died, so how would you use something that's above THAT and live? Particularly when Godai had far more experience with the belt and had gotten used to succesively higher tiers with the Rising Forms.

Because Rising Ultimate is a different form from Ultimate? Rising Ultimate Form is an artificial form created with that stone from Tsukasa's world, not something that was just pushed from within Yuusuke.

Yuusuke basically dies by himself after using Ultimate Form to fight against Decade Fury Form.

That is in fact what Ultimate means! Shame Toei didn't know that.

Rising Ultimate just doesn't make any sense the way a lot of things in Decade don't make any sense. It's a half-baked idea that wasn't thought through. This is probably because it's mostly appearing in the Decade movies-- All Riders was incredibly stupid and I imagine the Decade half of Movie War 2010 will be even stupider.

If some fan must try to rationalize it, do so in the context of Decade's weird little metaverse, not in the context of original Kuuga. The way Decade portrayed Onodera's powers makes absolutely no fucking sense if you compare it to the way Godai's powers are portrayed in Kuuga, you just can't compare them. They have nothing to do with each other.

I honestly dont think that Rising Ultimate is stronger than Ultimate. I think its just an artificial sidegrade, not an upgrade.

So Rising Ultimate is still a bad name.

I still dont see why they couldnt have just used Ultimate. I know you're trying to fuel hype. But this is no way to do it. Not show off a form for like 7 seconds, then have him get his ass handed to him. Thats just silly.

And if this is a completely artificial form, then why did was Yuusuke able to change into it AFTER he had lost the effects of the gem?

In more detail..

[HIDE]Yuusuke says that he doesn't want to see anymore tears, and he will protect everyone's smiles even if he has to become the Ultimate Darkness.
Yuusuke uses Ultimate Form in the threat of killing him as well but at the end he transforms into Kuuga Gouram and pincers Decade Fury Form in an attempt to suicide bomb them both but Decade kills him mid air before Yuusuke suicided. [/HIDE]

I'm also very pissed at how they portray Ultimate Form. I mean it's ULTIMATE Form. It's called that for a reason, Toei. Decade would be getting his ass handed to him by now. Then again, it is Yusuke...

Pretty much this. it was really unnecessary to add another form.
