This may sound like a retarded question, and I'll probably get flamed for this. But why does everyone hate this guy so much?

Here's the main reason. Back in the early 90's he was charged with child molestation. Although he kept saying he was innocent, he and the boy's family settled things outside of court. This made the mass public think that he was guilty. The second case in 2003(which he won) and his odd behavior just threw gas to the fire.

But despite all that, you have to admit that he was a great performer and musician

I agree. He is a legendary musician and performer. But the guy is a freakin weirdo nonetheless.

People don't hate him, they just think that he's weird just because he's a little different.

He turned out that we because of how he was raised. It's not his fault because Joe Jackson was an abusive asshole.

I fucking love Michael Jackson. Sure he's a fucking nutter, you can thank his asshole father for that. I don't give a ****, I would pay any amount of money to see that man perform live, anyday.

Yeah, even though he has been cleared of the molestation charges, he still needs psychological help. Just based on his childhood even.

I've never known anyone to HATE, Micheal Jackson. He's had his share of trials and tribulations; and these events happened to persuade people that he has major issues (which may, or may not be true).

The dude is still a legend, and I'm 100% sure he can still give an explosive performance in his age (much like Prince)

I always thought Eminem hated Michael Jackson, since he does offensive parodies of him in his videos. Anyways, Michael Jackson = AWESOME fucking performer.
