True about the nacelles issue. But don't you think that the shields on the Miranda might hold quite a while in front of the Galaxy Mega. plus photon torpedoes could probably destroy the robo quite fast, or at least heavily damage it. In fact I doubt if the head/cockpit would withstand a few well placed torpedoes.

Also got a shield. And it took blasts that look mighty stronger than tiny photon torpedoes.

The shield might hold but I fear what kind of shaking would be felt inside from a well placed strike from the sword.

I'd be more inclined to agree that it resembles the Defiant-class more than the Miranda-class, especially with the nose-part at the front.

Personally I'd take the Defiant. Giant robots can't slash you when you got a cloaking device. :buttrock:

Sheilds don't usually take well to physical impacts like meteors, asteroids and stuff. Kinetic energy is not that easy to difuse, unlike an energy beam.

True but if I recall correctly the Kithomer (sp?) treaty between the Federation and Klingon banned that sort of cloaking devices. It also prevented the Federation from even developing cloaking devices until the events of the Dominion War.
