So I was checking out Ebay and I noticed that there are quite a number of Ultraman, Super Sentai, and Power Rangers dvd being sold that are supposedly from real licensed Malaysian publishers. Are they are original dvds?

I saw some Power Ranger dvds that have this HVN logo on them and some Super Sentai dvds are from this Lambaian Filem company. I just wanna know if they're legit.

I never bought any DVD publish by those company so I can't vouch for any of them but I tell you one thing, about 30% of my DVD collection is shitty one. Its up to you to take the chances :laugh:

Hell no, just no. Most if not all are ****. You're better off trying to learn japanese and translate it yourself. The way people who dwell in the anime fandom a lot says it, the process of translation of those malaysian local publishers are to take the HK cantonese subs and then directly translate those into english. So it's going from Japanese to cantonese and then english.

I've just realized of this thread existence lol. Another Malaysian and a super sentai fan since the airing of flashman in rtm1 back then here reporting in. currently in shah alam.

anyway just curious how many of you here are super sentai fans? (it's hard to find SS fans rather than KR fans) because I've noticed that most malaysian seems to prefer kamen rider than super sentai (some mentality that they deems super sentai kiddy and kinda ashamed to admit it but accepts KR as they(kr) looks mature enough which doesn't makes sense to me since both of them are kids show to be exact)-shrug-

oh where can I find new sentai toys? everywhere I go the shops only sell Kamen Rider toys and the only recent sentai stuffs I have are the gashapon gokaiger rangerkeys (gokai yellow, gokai pink, deka red and ryuuranger)

As for the Power Rangers DVD especially from HVN are legit not sure about lambaian mutiara ones but for the toku(ss, kr, ultraman etc) dvd are not legit and Hk bootlegs I once bought gekiranger box set and almost 70% of the translation are off full with typos and nonsense names and laughable I ended up making the translation myself lol.

I roll my eyes when people call Kamen Rider/sentai/ultra etc as childish when they go gaga over superman or batman. I'm a fan of Gekiranger and Gokaiger(Which i need to catch up on). Never bothered to watch Shinkenger though.

I'd never seen sentai toys, but then again I know nothing about the sentai toy lines.
