Are fans really upset about Avengers: Endgame Encore?

Looks like there's some drama brewing around the re-release of Avengers: Endgame, titled Avengers: Endgame Encore. It's set to drop some extra four minutes of footage, but apparently, fans are less than thrilled. The term "George Lucas Special Edition levels of pointless" is being thrown around, which is pretty harsh.

The outrage seems to stem from the uncertainty of whether this new footage really adds anything meaningful. It's not the first time fans have been skeptical about added content, especially when it feels like just a cash grab.

Anyone else think it might be overblown?

I totally get the skepticism around Avengers: Endgame Encore. It feels a bit like they're trying to milk the success of the film with just a few extra minutes, which can definitely come off as a cash grab. I mean, if the added footage doesn't bring anything significant to the story or character development, what's the point?

In a way, it reminds me of when Star Wars fans reacted to the changes in the Special Editions, sometimes less is more, you know? I might be more open to the idea if they included something groundbreaking or pivotal that could shift our understanding of certain characters.

What do you all think about the balance between nostalgia and actually new content? Would extra footage be worth it if it was genuinely impactful?
