Lion Maru G - Talkback

Kaiketsu Lion Maru was sort of your stereotypical Henshin Hero show, just with some obvious differences. It wasn't really a comedy but it had comedic moments, and it wasn't a drama but it had dramatic moments. I haven't seen enough of Fuun Lion Maru to comment on it, though.

That's pretty cool that the theme song is an updated version of the old one.

I haven't seen it yet, does Tiger Jô show up? He was one of the coolest things about the original series.

His human form shows up, but he won't transform until next time.

May I ask everyone using Winny to please keep seeding? It seems a lot of people are grabbing this episode and then disconnect immediately :disappoin

Episode 2 was interesting, not so bad. I wasn't scratching my head so much thinking "what the hell is going on?" as far as the comedic moments. Shishimaru continues to be silly, running away from the sudden onslaught of Lion imagery after the shock of his first transformation (which I found amusing). I loved the fight scene, the action was decent. I like that Shishimaru didn't know automatically what to do once he was transformed. Although he seemed to have some natural ability even though he seemed confused at the end of the fight.

The prologue was especially great because they flashback to the original series. I hope they continue to do this (even if it is only a second or so). Especially when this Kashin Koji finally explains the whole Lion Maru business to Shishimaru.

Tiger Jo shows up at the end, so we won't see any confrontation until next episode. I like his henshin sequence though.

About the bad guys. So this guy Gousan is the one controling the "Kabukimono" (is that what they're called?) with some sort of a contact lens (Skull Eye)...Okay, and Jounosuke is working for Gousan and Junior (or Junia?), but is Junior connected to Gousan? Either way I hope we get to see some actual monsters soon and not just crazy people under some sort of mind control.

Yeah, I agree with ShadowRider. Ep 2 was alot better than the first episode which had me skipping ahead every few minutes. Here's hoping that ep 3 works the same magic ^_^

I've seen the first two eps now and I'm still making this type of face: :confused2:eyebrow: :sly:

Didn't someone mention that the title was Lion Maru G with the "G" standing for Ghetto? Looking at the opening credits from the first two eps it actually says, "LION-MARU, the Beast Transformed Gigolo Warrior" which cracks me up because of his job in the first ep.

Episode 2 was great, a lot better than the first episode, though I guess I was one of the few that liked episode 1. Can't wait to see more of Tiger Jo, I hope they keep up the formula of getting better each episode.
