Your beach rental story brings back memories of family movie nights. I remember arguing with my siblings over which flick to choose, and I always pushed for something like Jaws or Ghostbusters, while they wanted the latest big-budget nonsense. It's wild to think about those days versus now, where franchises like Bayformers keep coming back despite mixed feelings.

Bay coming back feels like a bad habit nobody can quit. The first movie had that dumb fun energy but after that it was just explosions and nothing else. I watched all five because I kept hoping one would be good again and it never happened. If Fuchs script is actually strong maybe Bay can just direct and not write this time. That combination might work better than people expect.

Bumblebee proved this franchise does not need Bay at all. That movie had heart and you actually cared about the characters. Bringing him back feels like a step backward to me.

Peter Cullen passing makes this whole announcement feel strange timing wise. I am more sad about losing his voice than curious about a new movie. Optimus without him will not feel right for a long time no matter who they pick.

Rise of the Beasts flopped because it had zero identity, it was just trying to copy old formulas without understanding why they worked originally.

Spielberg producing again does not mean much creatively, he was attached before and the films still turned out loud and empty. People need to stop treating his name as quality guarantee here, producers often just manage business side.
