Legend of the Seeker - Talk UP!

I do agree that the show doesn't hold a candle to the books.

However to be fair, a lot of things had to be changed in order for the show to air. The Sword of Truth series is literally filled with rape attempts, a big no no, sex, decapitation, nudity, etc.

the show's decent, kinda reminds me of xena and hercules with a bit more on the fantasy side.

Goodkind likes well-endowed females, huh. All the females that ever show up in his books are. LOL.

Umm define well-endowed because none of the girls are overly large in the, well, breast region.

LMAO. Right? But you read the description of every chick in the books; goes on about ample-bosoms.

True, in the tv series, say hello to the miracle of push-ups.

Haha Rahl yeah. When I found out what they did to the whole Rahl family line...

Well, the book series IS 12 long-ass volumes...Although what they did with Denna REALLY annoyed me.

Oh man, when they started the Sister Nicci's arc and she wasn't blonde, I threw something at my TV. But at least, they tried to salvage that one.

You know I wish that disney hadn't screwed Goodkind out of lead writer on the tv series.

gotta say. Emily Foxler is just excellent (re)casting for Nicci. I get the feeling that they cast Jolene Blalock because of her past star trek role

I'm glad the show didn't overdo the bondage like the books apparently do, although the series has been a bit boring without it lately... And it's good that they're not forcing contrived philosophy down the viewer's throat.

Why? Is her hair colour an integral part of the character?

Yeah how dare they have the books concepts in a tv series about the books. That is just bad bad I say. Instead they alter every characters personality, change the story on a fundamental level so much so that the story in the tv-series has nothing at all in anyway to do with the books. Hell this tv series made the first Dune Movie look like a GREAT adaption of the books even with all the crap Lynch did to it.

Because Goodkind's philosophies are contrived, he doesn't respect the genre yet continues to write in it, and some of his writing is completely derivative of Ayn Rand?

And Dune was more the fault of the production and the studio than the director, like what happened with Alien 3.

Well this is a case of we all of opinions and I will never agree with this one. So cool. The only thing I have to say about that is that thing about not respecting the genre HAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH:P

Yes and no. The hair color change for me was just the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back since it was very clear that the first Sister Nicci they had was nothing like the book's character. The second Sister Nicci, with the blonde hair, was much more convincing- hence the salvaging.

Would you explain more of what you mean by "contrived philosophy"?
