There's a TV series that my dad loves called "Legend of the Seeker." I try to watch this 2nd season show, but I missed the 1st season, and some of the things in the series baffles me. Anybody else a fan of this show?

No. Not at all. This show is a pure bastardization of the series of Books "The sword of truth" By Terry Goodkind. Goodkind was going to be directly involved with the tv series and it's production, but disney screwed him out of it. So instead of a great story, we got just another pile of crap. If you want to know what really goes on with the mythos behind this story, get the books.

^QFT.

BUT, the show is still fun to watch. So I do, but totally recognize and acknowledge it GROSSLY does injustice to Terry Goodkind's books.

The series itself is pretty good if you've never read the books. As for needing to watch the first season, it helps to clarify things, go and stream them off netflix if you watch to get the backstory.

The Dune movies grossly do injustice to the books. The Seeker tv series rapes the books. I am glad you all can enjoy the series, but what they did to the characters in the tv series is just sickening.

In other words, KingRanger, Disney screwed the production of Legend of the Seeker. This doesn't sit too well with fans that will learn that it's cancelled. It seemed to me that Disney doesn't want to try harder to find a new home for third season...

They're too proud.

You misunderstand me. I am damn glad this show got canceled. I was hoping it would die sooner. This show is a horrid representation of the books. It's not even a case of being a little different. The show was an abomination to the great books by Terry Goodkind.

Oh, no. I didn't misunderstand you. I understand you perfectly that you're glad that this show got canceled. Tell me, why did Disney decided to pick this book up and produced?! Perhaps they just don't care about book, but milking this to making more money, that's their final answer.

And you're right about this show is a horrid representation of the books that was translated into a show. Nevertheless, I enjoyed Legend of the Seeker a lot, because it's far better than reality shows that's been around for ten years now, it's ****, I'm telling you!

Now, there's another horrid representation of the books from this man named Christopher Paolini, his books is awesome and very alike of "Lord of the Rings", you know? Fox has to ruined it all and it didn't translated too well into a movie, because it was too damn silly.

So glad that there won't be Eldest movie. Currently I'm in the process of reading his third book and I'm very excited to finding out what's going to happen to Eragon in third book!

It's been alright. Some of the action is pretty bad and the bullet time action scenes are annoying, but it's okay. Definitely got better after a while, especially with anything involving the Mord'Sith.

I tried getting into the books after catching up to the second series a couple months ago, but didn't really get into them. From what I've read they sound a bit silly though.

The show's best when it does the bondage episodes, but sadly there's been a lot less of that in the second season, and the second season had far too much filler.

I'm a bit disapointed that it's likely to be axed soon, but I can't say I'll really miss it since season 2 has been kind of a bore.

I try to judge adaptations separate to the original instead of constantly comparing them, but after seeing recently how horribly Joel Silver and the Wachowskis butchered V For Vendetta I guess I can understand what KR is getting at.
