Welp, so much for this show!

GN-001 GUNDAM EXIA (Feddie colors)
Its centrally-placed GN drive produces near-infinite energy and incredible power output. Incorporates a variety of high technology.
Pilot: Setsuna (Setsuna F Seiei), 16
Fated boy soldier born amidst the civil wars of Kyrgistan. Dislikes close contact with others, and is the "cool" type who tends to hide his feelings.

GN-002 GUNDAM DYNAMES (Green)
Mounts a GN drive like the other Gundams. Designed for ranged combat, it carries a GN sniper rifle as well as various mission-specific guns.
Pilot: Lockon (Lockon Stratos), 24
His family killed in a terrorist attack, he decided te join Solestal Being. The oldest pilot and the team leader.

GN-003 GUNDAM KYRIOS (Orange fake-Zeta)
Transforms. General-purpose type.
Pilot: Allelujah (Allelujah Baptism), 19
Spent his boyhood in the PRL. The quiet, gentle type.

GN-005 GUNDAM VIRTUE (GP-002 amirite)
Heavily-armored, and carries a GN Bazooka and GN Cannon. Can manifest a "GN Field" in addition to its armor.
Pilot: Tieria (Tieria Arde), ??
A strikingly beautiful boy whose birthplace, nationality, and history are all a mystery. In his soft words, you can feel something chilling hidden.

What do you get when you combined Heine and Jesus Yamato? Allelujah Baptism!

...guess the last one is a guy. I like the suits, the combat cockpit suits I mean. Of the Gundams and pilots, Lockon and Dynames are my favorites.

Personally, I think Tomino needs to return and pull another Turn A and revitalize the franchise. I'd like for him to make a show that's Ideonesque and has mecha like the ones in Turn A meaning 1 or 2 Gundams and the rest being non-Gundams. And the Gundams should not be like the ones we've had lately as their just too undynamic and formulaic. I want more Syd Mead Style and less Kunio Okawara derivative.

Why wouldn't they? I mean, it's not like this series is about real men of war going off to fight real wars because they're real men of wars fighting manly wars in the early 80's or anything.

A news article from Sports Houchi announces L'Arc En Ciel's new song "Daybreak's Bell", on sale in October, will be the first theme song for Gundam 00.

Kenji Kawai, the music composer for 00, has done music for some classic anime series, movies, and OVA such as Patlabor, Ranma 1/2, and Ghost in the Shell. He's also composed music for Ultraman Nexus.

And I'm sure we all recognize Laraku from either 2 popular shows that they did popular themes for, or for some of the hits they've released throughout their career. But for those who don't...

L'arc~en~Ciel performed the 4th ending theme to Rurouni Kenshi "The Fourth Avenue Cafe", as well as Fullmetal Alchemist's second opening theme "READY STEADY GO". Daybreak's Bell will be released on October 10th.

I tried watching seed, but it didn't sit well with me. I didn't like the whole teen drama aspect of it and I sort of wanted more of the horror of war of what I expect of Gundam. Kira was okay but you know what I just didn't really like seed. But 00 looks great and I love the designs so I'm going for this series.

Hmm. Kind of weird hearing some call the Gundams in SEED and SEED Destiny "undynamic" considering that dynamic mecha action has always been a staple of any mecha show Fukuda is involved with. His direction in GEAR Fighter Dendoh is awesome! It's actually one of the reasons I started getting into SEED because I liked seeing the Gundams as not just kind of tanks with legs. Even though that totally works for 08th MS Team which is probably the main UC thing that clicked with me until I saw the movies that Tomino did reworking from series episodes of Zeta.

But some of it may just be personal taste. Afterall, if I'm asked what my fav Gundam show is Mobile Fighter G Gundam. For me my mecha tastes lean mostly more super-roboty. But at the same time I can occasionally watch Gundam on it's own terms.

I guess having the robots be hyper dynamic in SEED just made it that much more palatable for someone like me. The robots being very fantastic but still getting that war drama vibe that is at the core concept of Gundam as a whole. I think I was glad that there was a series that had that core concept intact but also pushed my own buttons since G....while it ultimately does justify itself as a Gundam show by getting to alot of those same themes it is also the most alt. of the alt. Gundam series.
