So yeah, last night I was scouting around for a fun TF2 server and came across a very nice one. Then this one dildo changed his name to mine and started mouthing off. It was okay for a little while...then it started to get annoying. I asked him nicely to stop. He didn't. I told him to stop or I was leaving the server. He didn't, so I left.

Anyway, I get a message from one of the guys on the server and the following conversation takes place:

Gentleman: In game entertainment. Seriously. I wouldn't treat someone like that lol
[GoR] Kenori: I told him to change his name. He didn't comply *shrug* no offence to you but that **** pisses me off. You can take **** too far

Gentleman: Maybe you were asking for it dude. Anyway.
Gentleman: Protip
Gentleman: Don't make a big target of yourself on a server like that.
Gentleman: And if **** turns nasty, *lay low*.
Gentleman: First two laws of internet discourse. Not everyone wants to be friends.
Gentleman: Just 'casue you're a decent guy doesn't mean people will treat you right out here.

[GoR] Kenori: Well I **** usually doesnt bother me. But I'm not to keen on someone stealing my identity on this came, considering I'm in a guild and do tourneys and all. Thats a completely different thing.

[GoR] Kenori: Whatever. I was calm about it. He refused to comply, so I left *Shrug* no biggy. I'm not mad
Gentleman: You got pretty pwned there cousin. ANyway, look.
Gentleman: To tell you the truth you were summarily trolled by a whole server full of people. (NOTE: Basically in this case "Trolled" meant him and some other people asking me to say asian things because of my accent :/)

Gentleman: And milked for lulz. There is a WHOLE OTHER SIDE to the internet.
Gentleman: With which I sincerely hope you *never* familiarise yourself.

I haven't heard from him since.
Anyone care to explain the stupidity? Why are there dumb people?

Well when someone uses your name and when you ask him nicely to stop he says "disregard that, i suck dick" over and over, it tends to piss you off.
I didnt throw a fit, i simply askedhim to stop and he didn't so I left.
Good thing too, cause I came across an even better server with some awesome people.

It's quite simple, turn the tables. Do exactly what he did to you , bet he stops. People feed off other peoples reaction's. Especially asshole's. And all you were doing was reacting to what he was doing.
