I could be mistaken but I think it was OOO that Aoi dropped. I've got a lot of catching up to do with that one, but I'm liking it a lot so far.

Yeah, OOO was the one I dropped. It wasn't exactly bad, it was just so un...anything. It was one of those shows that became a chore to watch and that's not what I look for in tokusatsu when I've got of school work that mixes my interests with the oh so fun work feeling. I might pick it back up if only for the fact that Hiroaki Iwanaga plays the second Kamen Rider, but I've read he's a bit of a batshit character I might not like.

LOL, if guys like Iga had trouble really liking the series, then it makes sense for Aoi to do so.

And oh my god, was Iga always the voice of the entire fandom of toku ever? I never knew! Silly me! (no offense to Iga at all)

That'd be pretty weird. I've always prided myself on going against popular opinion in fandom on a number of things (BLACK/Kuuga/Agito/Double are good but not my favorites; I kinda slightly prefer the 'new' versions of Rider 1 & 2 with the silver and red; I thought Wataru's part of the show was a lot more interesting than Otoya's; I actually like Amazon World, etc.) If you want the real voice of fandom... good luck finding one. :laugh:

Now, that's not true. I read your articles on your site all the time. Like I remember you saying all the things you liked about Amazon World (though I think that's something one appreciates if one has actually watched Amazon)

I don't think that's necessarily true, but never underestimate the power of confirmation bias.
