The blonde man looked at the other speaker and cocked an eyebrow.

“Sucky, sake, same tasteless, God-awful swill,†he said coolly. “What are you? A red-haired flaming paddy? By the Heavens, this country’s attracting more foreign men than a sailing ship full of whores. Still, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one here who isn’t one of these almond-eyed, soil-worshipping misfits. I could stand here chatting all day, but I’m still waiting for the first real drink I’ve had in weeks, and waiting for a response from the buxom wench on my other side.â€

He cackled, and pounded his fist on the table impatiently. Unbeknownst to him, a creature was lurching towards the little pub, hunting him, set on him by higher, darker forces that wanted only to tear the world’s heroes to pieces.

((OOC: No problem at all Denjin! That's pretty much what I wanted someone to do! Sorry it took me a while to reply. ))

Blackfeather and some of the men saw around a fire pit in one of the hut. Cups of teas and dried fishes were passed around the room.

"Hmm... tasty fish, doesn't taste like any I had before." Said Toshiro.

"And your tea sooths my aching." Replied Blackfeather "Tell me...where does this Beast comes from?"

Toshiro looked down at his tea cup "We're not sure... it started to appear a month ago after the...incident."

"Incident?"

"A month ago, three Blood Soldiers came to pass through the area on their way to Lord Ishikawa's castle." Started Toshiro

"Blood Soldiers? You mean the soldiers I've seen in blood red armor attack innocent people?" Asked the foreigner.

"Exactly... they have official orders from Lord Ishikawa to hunt down anything that might be legendary or have special powers... but no one knows exactly why they are doing it or why they are so ruthless. The three that came here were escorting a woman. A very strange woman in a white cloak that kept her face hidden at all time. She didn't say a word or did anything. The three soldiers came and ordered us to give them food... one of my men...didn't take it and insulted them..." Toshiro marked a pause as everyone grew drim.

"I assume they responded...with their blades." Commented Blackfeather.

"Yes... we stood there...powerless and in fear as they sliced him to pieces...then they threw the pieces over the walls and watched, laughing, as wild animals devoured his remains. The woman said nothing but she too watched. We are just lumberjacks, simple farmers who come here to chop tree... we couldn't fight those soldiers. The Beast started to appear when they left." Continued Toshiro "I think... I think its him... he came back to take revenge on us because we didn't defend him or avenge him. We were cowards and now he want us to pay."

The room was silent for a while. A tear felt into Toshiro's tea cup and he drank from it. Blackfeather then stood up, an item wrapped in pelt in his arms.

"I don't believe so. If anything it is the spirit of your friend that keeps the Beast from breaking through the walls. The Beast...was created from the evil in those soldier's heart." With that he unfurled the pelt, uncovering a small handaxe from within.

It was unlike any axes the villagers had ever seen. The head was the size of a big hatchet on one side, while on the other side the head turned into a hammer's head. The whole head was of a bright silver material and a group of bird feathers, a white one, a brown one and a black one, were hanging and the handle was a pearless white coursed with strange golden line.

"Once dawn break... I will go hunt the Beast for you." Declared Blackfeather.

"You're crazy! It'll kill you!" Replied Toshiro, standing up as well.

"I am in this land to hunt monsters like that. It is my duty. This weapon was given to me by the gods so that I could hunt evil with it. Whatever you say could not make me turn away from my mission."

The two men stared into each other's brown eyes, Toshiro having to look up slightly. The Japanese leader finally sighed in defeat.

"Fine...if I can't dissuade you, I'll at least provide you with a refreshing night sleep and some more arrows for your tiny bow. After all, if you succeed we'll be able to leave this place and go back to our families. We'd be eternally grateful."

"Thank you my friend."

((OOC: I'll post some more later today.))

Tang was at the market selling his fish, and like always he made enough money to get by. While walking home he saw a young person in the middle of a field, and it seemed like he was homeless. Tang walked over, and tried to wake the kid up, but it seemed that he had fainted, because of malnutrition. Tang didn't know what to do, but he grabbed the boy, and carried him back to his house.

Walking into his house Tang went in, and put the boy in his bed. Tang then left the room, and shut the door. Tang went off to the kitchen, and started to make Tea. After putting the tea over a fire Tang went, and started to cut the scales off of the fish. While cutting the fish the Tea started to boil, and so he took it off the fire, and poor himself a glass.

Tang finished scaling the fish, and he put them over a fire so they could cook. While he waited for the fish to cook he sat drinking his tea when the boy walked out to find out where he was. Tang said," Hello well why were you in the middle of that field?" The boy said," I was walking across it, and then I blacked out." Tang looked at the boy, and said," Well do you have a home?" The boy nodded, and Tang said," Well then you will stay here, and maybe you could help me fish." The boy nodded, and said," My name is Fumei Goshogawara." Tang smiled and said," Well Fumei I hope you will like living here." Tang then got up, and took the fish of from above the fire. Tang then put the fire out, and he made a cup of tea for Fumei. He took a plate out and put the fish onto it, and he put the tea, and the fish in front of Fumei.

Tang said," Eat up." Tang sat back at the table when he felt something. Tang thought," It is a demonic aura, but yet it feels very distance from here." Tang said," When you are finish I would like to go somewhere." Fumei nodded, and said," I guess I will go with you." Tang waited as he sipped his tea.

Fumei was finished with his food, and he said," This might be a long walk. Fumei smiled and said," I am used to those." Tang, and Fumei began to walk, and for days they walked and rested. Then after a week it seemed that they had ended up at the pacific ocean. Tang was angry, and then he thought," The shark I know it." Tang looked at the tired Fumei, and said," You won't have to walk across the ocean ok." Fumei thought that the man was insane, but he didn't know that Tang had the powers of a rider. Tang then watched as water gathered and formed his halberd, and he said," Fumei stand back." Fumei got away from Tang and then water surrounded Tang, and Tang then changed to Kamen Rider Jianglong.

Tang looked at the ocean through his opened visor, and then turned to Fumei who was freaking out. Tang then said," Come over here." Fumei walked towards Tang and said," Now don't freak out." Fumei nodded, and Tang said," Arise from the depths of the ocean my steed." Fumei looked at Tang like he was insane, and then a shark covered in armor and gems jumped out from the ocean. Tang then made sure none of the water hit Fumei, and then he then watched as the shark's back and head was above the ocean. Tang grabbed Fumei, and he jumped onto the shark. Once they landed Tang's steed started to move. Fumei was shocked, and excited and he said," So this is that legend I heard of." Tang said," What legend?" Fumei said," The village I used to live in they talked about a shark person who with a halberd defeated demons." Tang said," Well this is just armor, but that is probably me." Tang laughed, and then started to explain what was going on to Fumei.

After explaining to Fumei about the situation Tang said," Fumei it seems like we are going to japan." Fumei said," What?" Tang pointed at Mt.Fuji for it could be seen in the distance.

( OOC: In my next post I will be caught up undrave.)

He cackled, and pounded his fist on the table impatiently. Unbeknownst to him, a creature was lurching towards the little pub, hunting him, set on him by higher, darker forces that wanted only to tear the world’s heroes to pieces.

Meanwhile, Haruka, who stood by and listened to the older man complain after another foreigner had stepped forward, felt an ever-growing feeling of disgust towards the blonde-bearded man. "I do not understand what you mean by "buxom wench", sir. But I do know that you are rather disrespectful towards me and the waitress, and neither one of us appreciate it. It's best that you leave, or else I will have to force you to. On top of that, they do not serve "beer" here," the buxom samurai girl snapped back in Japanese, her native language, as she found herself unable to restrain her anger any further.

Turning her attention back to the teenage waitress, Haruka merely gave her a nod. "I believe our red-haired friend deserves a meal. Please get him the house special, and put it on my bill," Haruka told the waitress, who promptly obeyed and headed for the kitchen to relay the order to the cook.

"A paddy? Did that blonde bastard really just call me a paddy?" Cahal thought, his anger rising rapidly.

For a long moment Cahal merely stood silent, attempting to rein his anger before it spiraled out of control. By the time he succeeded the female samurai had already made her disgust of the man known.

"I'd be happy to 'escort' you out if needed, you rude englishman. And yes... I am from Ireland and proud of it." Cahal finished, fixing the man with a stare of pure disgust.

Without waiting for a reply from the englishman, Cahal turned to the woman.

"I... thank you greatly, for the meal, for it was not necessary, but I gratefully accept it." He said, bowing politely with a smile.

"Hmm... it seems that strong emotions help me to overcome my awkwardness around people... interesting." Cahal thought unsure if should sit down or wait to see what happened with the englishman.

Blackfeather set out the next morning as promised. He had insisted that the villagers stay behind. He knew they would not be strong enough to stand up to an evil beast, for it was obviously the work of the demons Thunderhawk had called to him to fight. Furthermore he'd rather not have others known of his abilities.

Blackfeather used his ancestral knowledge to track the beast for hours. There were footprints, broken branches and even blood spots left all over the place. The blood of the creature seemed to have a poisonous effect on the surrounding plant life as any emerging plants turned black around the blood stains.

The snapping of a twig caused the tribal warrior to turn around and ready an arrow. There in the early morning mist stood a normal wolf, similar to the one he had battled on his way to the village, if not the same. It growled half heartedely at the human.

"I see... the Beast has driven away your prey. Here my brother of this foreign forest, have a little food." Declared the man, throwing one of his remaining dried fish to the wolf who munched ravenously.

"Now run off before you force me to defend my life." And with that he turned around, only to hear a howl.

He turned back toward the wolf, ready to battle it, but sadden by that fact. Only to find the Beast landing squarely on the wild wolf. With a howl the Beast seemed to enjoy crushing the wolf beneath its feet. Blackfeather cleneched his teeth and let loose an arrow in its shoulder.

There was a howl of anger and the beast charged forward, lunging with his undamaged arm. There was no trace of the arrows from the previous day. Blackfeather rolled aside and hid behind a large tree. The Beast took a swipe and missed him, taking a large chunk of wood off the trunk of the plant. Quickly Blackfeather let go of his bow and took out Thunderhawk. With a strong hit of the hammer head it caused the damaged tree to start to fall toward the Beast.

The creature dodged to the side, only to find Blackfeather dashing at it, his cloak flapping in the wind. The warrior took a swing with his axe, but missed. He kept his momentum going and kept spinning, coming back to hit the beast in the face with the hammer side, just as the massive tree came crashing down. The hit sent the wolf shaped creature landing against the fallen pine.

With a loud war cry the human brought his weapon downward, ready to end it. Recovering from the stunning blow remarkably fast, the Beast raised its arm and blocked Blackfeather's movement with its clawed hand. It then dug its claws into the warrior's arm who cried out in pain and causing him to drop his axe. Before he could do anything he was flung aside by the Beast. He flipped in mid air and landed on his feet. The Beast got up, its head bleeding where the weapon had hit and his head collided with the tree, while Blackfeather was sporting puncture wounds on his exposed forearm.

"If you think I need a weapon to defeat you, you're sorely mistaken Abomination. I defeated a grizzly, lord of the mountain, to obtain Thunderhawk, and I did it without any weapons. I can handle you!" Challenged the human as he got into a defensive posture.

The Beast charged and took a swipe from the same side where the fallen tree was laying. This time it was the human's turn to grab his opponent by the forearm. Using the creature's momentum against it, Blackfeather twisted his body and, grabbing the thing by the neck, sent the side of its head to collide with the fallen pine once more. Before the thing could react the human burried his knee deep in the Beast's thorax and let go of its neck, only to punch it with the strength to knock out a grizzly. There was a sickening moist crunch as Blackfeather crushed the creature's windpipe, just as he forced the air out of its lungs.

The human got up and started to back away toward his sacred weapon. The Beast was weaving, as it had trouble breathing.

Blackfeather took Thunderhawk "Even an attrocity such as yourself doesn't deserve a slow death. May the gods be kinder in the afterlife than I was."

And with those words done he crushed the creature's skull with his weapon. Blood had splattered over his clothes and he wondered if there was a river around for him to clean up into. He also considered making the pelt of the wolf into a piece of clothing, no animal should die without reason. His musings were interupted by the sound of clapping hands, followed by soft growl.

Looking into the woods he saw a feminine figure, cloaked in white clothing emerged from the soft mist. She was the one clapping with hands gloved in black. By her sides were two more Beasts. One of them had an arrow still lodged in its eye. That was the secret of the Beast' miraculous recoveries... there was three of them, not one. It also explained where they came from. The Blood Soldiers had turned into those abomination.

"I am impressed human. I did not expect a man to defeat one of my puppet with his bear hands. Your strength is impressive. You must live in a land more harsh than those decadent Japanese." Declared the woman with a soothing voice.

"Your puppet? You are the one who order the attacks on the lumberjack camp? Who keeps them in fear?! The one who had that abomination kill innocent animals?" Asked Blackfeather, gritting his teeth.

"Off course! The so-called Blood Soldiers are nothing but tools to get more energy, and once they loose their souls to the cursed blades they become our puppets to use and instil fears into others. Their delicious fear makes me stronger with each passing day! Soon I will meet with my brethren and we will wreck havoc on this miserable world!" She declared, laughing "And what do you, a hunter, care for that miserable flea bitten wolf? Do you not hunt animals too?"

"Everything in nature is connected. When my people hunt it is because we need it, not for pleasure. We expect the animals to defend their lives, just like we would defend ours from their attack. We are fully aware of our places in nature. You are no children of the Great Mother. You are an abomination that needs to be removed. The gods have called upon me to do so! Prepare to face your destruction Demon!" Boldly declare Blackfeather as he pointed at the female figure.

The demon was obviously not impressed "Bold words. Get him boys."

With that the two beasts by her side dashed forward, growling and snarling and slashing at the air.

"Get out of my way!" Called out Blackfeather, taking off his cloak in a dramatic gesture and throwing it aside before rising his weapon to the sky "HENSHIN!!!"

There was a blinding light and a crashing sound as a sudden bolt of lightning struck the outstrecth arm of the human, blinding the Demon and its demonic beasts for a second. The distraction was all it took for the warrior to strike. In a flash both the demonic beasts' heads were sliced off.

The Demon looked on as he goons crashed to the ground, headless. There in between them stood a warrior in gleaming white and gold armor. A golden bird hetched on his chest, faces on his shin and forearms guards and shoulder pads shaped like birds heads like you would see on a totem pole. His helmet had three dark slit acting as a visor and metallic feathers on its side. His weapon, the Sacred Weapon Thunderhawk, was still slightly crackling with electricity.

"A Kamen Rider!" Hissed the female demon, as though it was a curse word "Those blasted weapons have awaken again and chosen champions! I suppose that makes you a worthy opponent and a danger I must eliminate as soon as possible." With that, the back of her cloak were shredded appart as two white wings burst fourth, both tattered and damaged, the left one even looking cinged.

In a grandiose movement she threw the tattered remains of her clothing away, revealing a humanoid shape clad in black leathers with more buckles than a belt store. But more striking than her gear was her head. It was the head of a white owl with big yellow eyes. She unsheated a long straight sword from her belt and it was suddenly lit ablaze.

"Human, I will grant you the privilege of being destroyed by Andrias of the 66 Great Demons! The fear of those miserable lumberjacks will give me enough power to reduce you to ashes!!!"

Tang, and Fumei walked off the shark, and onto the land near Mt. Fuji. Tang sensed the strong demonic aura, and Fumei fell to the ground, and it was like he couldn't breath. Tang looked at Fumei after his armor was removed, and he said," What is wrong Fumei?" Fumei said," It is like gravity is pushing down on me." Tang knew what was going on, and he thought," We are to close to the aura, and since Fume isn't a rider he is helpless to suffer the effects of being to close." Tang then watched as a group of around five humans with demon blades on their arms come closer, and closer to the two.

Tang changed back into Jianglong, and then the demons impaled themselves with their blades, and they all changed into wolf demons. The five demons rushed Tang who swung his halberd, and a wave of water hit them. Tang grabbed Fumei and began to run from demons. Tang put Fumei down and said," Look run that way and get away from the aura I will hold them off. Fumei used all his strength to run away from the aura. Tang then started to fight the demons. Tang swung his halberd slashing the demons.

The five wolf demons ran at Tang and he slashed two of them aside, but the three slashed him. Tang fell back onto his knees and thought," They are stronger then before." Tang picked his halberd up and started, and began to slash the demons, and trying to give Fumei time. Tang pierced on of demons through it's heart, and watched as it died. Tang was still out numbered, and he was struggling.

Tang felt like he was going to die when a gust of wind slashed the demons, and sent them flying. A rider appeared it's armor was blue, and green, and it held two metal fans in it's hands. The mysterious rider ran at the demons, and swung slashed them with his fans. Then the rider threw his fans in the air, and he jumped up and with a gust of wind the fans attached to his back. Peacock feathers then came from his back. Tang then watched as the rider shouted," Migoto Okaeshi." The feathers then shot out and pierced the demons killing them all.

Tang said," Thank you I needed your help." Tang then said," What is your name?" The person in the armor said," Fujaku." Tang was happy to have meet another rider, and he then said," Did you see a boy around this tall run from here." Tang then used his hands to show how tall, and wind gathered around the rider as the person inside the armor passed out. Tang did the same, and saw that it was Fumei. Tang then carried the kid, because his attach drew attention.

((OOC: Mt. Fuji is pretty landlocked you know. I'd rather have you and your ward take it more slowly and go on foot. Your steed can't take be used too extensively or it'll attract attention. Also you don't need to have the Blood Soldiers stab themselves... also feel free to mix things up a bit with the Demonic Beasts and not just reuse the same concepts over and over.))

The two girls had started their travels and they were now in a forest on the way to what Sakuya hoped would be the next village, the two of them walking side by side. "Um, Shizuko-san..." The shrine maiden turned her head in response to Sakuya's voice. "Yes? What is it?" The young girl took a second before asking her question. "Just to refresh my memory...you said that you were traveling around to gather funds for your shrine, am I right?" The shrine maiden nodded. "Yes, that is right Sakuya-san." Getting her answer, Sakuya merely looked straight ahead at the path before them. The two stayed silent as they went along the path, which was rather uneventful so far. Sakuya, who seemed a little uneasy with all the silence, decided to make more conversation with the Shrine Maiden. "So, um...where exactly are we going to go now?" Shizuko put her hand to her chin and went into thought, which was not the response that Sakuya wanted. ""You don't even know where you are going?!"

Shizuko was a little startled by Sakuya's shudden shout and stammered out a response. "W-Well, Ihave a general idea where we need to go...I-I was thinking we get off these mountains and head for a v-village heh heh..." The maiden nervously scratched the back of her head as Sakuya started to have doubts in joining in on this little trip. The two were once again wordless as they continued along the forest path, when they saw two shadowy figures up ahead, heading in their direction. Shizuko immediately got in front of Sakuya as the figures came into view, two men in ragged clothing: bandits, in other words. "Eh, lookie what we have here? Two girls!" One of the bandits exclaimed, his partner having a sort of sick smile written on his face. Sakuya backed off a few steps, becoming extremely nervous at these two arrivals. Shizuko, however, had a steely gaze in her eyes and just stared at the men.

"Oh, look at the little shrine maiden! Is she fixing to-" Before the bandit said anything else, he found a blade at his neck, that of a dagger, as the maiden had somehow got behind him. "It would be wise if you left us alone...unless you want your blood to stain the ground." The maiden whispered into the bandit's ear, in a cold tone of voice. Sakuya was shocked by this and the bandit's partner was hesitant to do anything with the other seemingly being held hostage. To push her point across further, she held the blade closer to his neck. "A-Alright, just let me go!" The bandit shouted, the blade just mere inches from his neck. "I want you to run...and not bother us again...or you'll regret it..." Letting go of the bandit, Shizuko gave a hard kick to the bandit's back and he fell to the ground, only to get up and run off with his lackey in pursuit.

Shizuko sheathed the dagger she had in the sleeve of her miko outfit as Sakuya nervously inched towards her. "S-S-Shizuko-san...what...how did you...?" Shizuko then seemed distressed as a look of embarrassment developed on her face. "W-Well...one has to defend one's self on these journeys, heh heh...a-and sometimes you have to act the part..." Sakuya was having a hard time believing this and then pointed out if she would really hurt someone with that dagger. "O-Only if I really had to...b-but I would be scared too...t-the sight of blood makes me want to faint, Sakuya-san..." Seeing a scared look in Shizuko's eyes, Sakuya apologized for her questions. "I'm sorry, Shizuko-san...I just was startled by that...I-I do appreciate you chasing them off, however..." Shizuko waved her hand in response. "No, no, i-it was nothing." As she was putting on this ruse, she cursed inwardly at her bad luck. Damn bandits...almost had me show my true identity...I would have killed them if it was just me...but then the girl would run away screaming and I can't have that...oh well, good thing that she's gullible... "A-Anyway, let's continue onward...I'd like t-to make some progress before night falls." Shizuko suggested, with Sakuya nodding in response, before the two of them continued along the path.

The blonde man rolled his eyes at their attitudes. He had strung up the brute from earlier as a message to anyone who wanted to cause trouble, and got nothing but flak from a woman with a mouth too big for her face (when he had complimented her at that!), and that inbred Irishman did nothing the waitress couldn’t do herself and was being rewarded. Even justice was utterly twisted in this stupid, foul-smelling and primitive country, where the natives had barely, if at all, grasped concepts like gunpowder, beer that didn’t taste like it had been watered down to nothing, and good old-fashioned Christianity (now that there was something worth fighting for). He would go, but he would make sure they regretted asking him to leave. The pub looked like it could do with a bit of money, there were cobwebs in the corners and the meals were in small portions, to his logic it was a bid to save what stock they had. Reaching into his pocket, he fished out a gold piece, one of many he had for his services in other lands as a free-lance, and held it up for all to see.

“Well, I’ll leave, if you don’t want this rather valuable gold I have. Nobody you send could steal it, they’d wind up suffering what that pig from earlier is suffering right now. Take a look right outside if you want confirmation of that.â€

That changed a few tunes at least. A bartender came over.

“I don’t know what ‘beer’ is,†he admitted, “but I can find you the best drink in the house, if it pleases you.â€

“You’ll have a challenge,†the Englishman laughed, the hostility going out of his voice, “I’ve the constitution of an iron horse, but try your best. One for the paddy and one for the wench, too.â€

“One for the paddy and one for the wench too,†the bartender bowed and scampered off. The blonde man smirked. The advantage to going around looking scruffy is that it made people underestimate both his abilities and his wealth, so showing off a little made it seem awe-inspiring. Many free-lances had trouble, but when you were as efficient as this one, life could be good to you. Who cared what the peons thought? Survival of the fittest. That would make a good book some day, if someone could write it (he could write, yes he could, but the mood took him very rarely). The two at his sides were not exactly fancy either, probably in the same boat as him, and he did not care if they put him in their good-books, but a little gratitude for possibly preventing any further trouble here would be nice.

Or so he thought anyway. Outside, a figure crouched down in waiting in the foliage. The hidden Demon clicked its mandibles with anticipation.
