Kamen Rider Tenken RPG Thread

From the corner table of the pub, a foreign man watched with mild amusement as a raging drunk attempted to harm a generously proportioned young girl, and said girl was making a fool of him by merely avoiding. Granted, anyone with a little bit of instinct could dodge the swings of a brainless oath like that, but it was funny to watch. Then again, he took something of a delight in watching these almond-eyed heathens beat the lights out of each other. His hands rested on top of the pommel of a sheathed sword, and a single eye glinted from beneath the hood of his brown shroud. His unshaven face was dirty and he was in dire need of a good wash, though he had been unsuccessful in finding an inn that would accept strange outsiders like his good self.

If that ape gets a single hit, it will be a miracle, he thought, there’s no style, no grace, and no skill in his poor excuse for combat. It’s almost a sin to let this go on.

He stood up, towering above many of the patrons, and slowly started to edge his way towards the fight.

Jianglong spun his halberd and then the white rose demon formed a blade out of her arm and she ran at Jianglong. With his halberd Jianglong blocked the attack, and then pushed her arm away, and kicked the demon. Now that the demon was away from him he then saw the red rose demon form a whip from her hand and she launched it out towards Jianglong. He watched as her whip wrapped around his halberd and the white rose demon then started to run at him.

Feeling like he wasn't going to win he felt like he had no hope. Then he looked and saw that the weather was starting to become worse and worse. Knowing that if it rained he knew that he would be at a advantage, but then again these demons were great as a team so no telling how long he could last against them.

Struggling against the two demons Jianglong then started to thrust his halberd rapidly rapidly at the two demons, and then he started to feel it. Jianglong could feel it as the small droplets of water began to fall from the sky. As happy as Jianglong was he was depressed about having to destroy the two women. As the water began to poor Jianglong started to gather the water around the blade of his halberd. Jianglong looked at the red demon and said," May god look upon you as a person, and not as a demon." Then he gather the water into a spike and shot it out towards the red rose demon.

The demon was pierced in the chest, and began to bleed. Jianglong then removed his halberd from his staff and saw the women turn back to normal, but sadly she died in the attack. Jianglong then took his stance, and said," You are in my territory now so are you prepared to fall peacefully."

((OOC: Not bad Striker. And Demetri...did you even read correctly? The cursed swords make demonic beasts, which don't need to be sealed away. Only pure demons which have yet to appear before us need to.))

The rose demon laughed at Jianglong as he took his stance and it said," Stupid humans you in your stupid short life spans, and weak bodies." Jianglong laughed and said," Humans are week, but even though you say that you don't understand that you are just a parasite using the body of a human as your own." Jianglong then taunting the demon said," So if the human body is week that must mean you are just as weak." The white rose demon was angered by the words of Jianglong and she ran at Jianglong swinging her blade recklessly.

Jianglong spun his halberd, and blocked the attacks of the rose demon, and he said," Don't you think you need to calm down." The demon jumped back and said," Rose storm." Thorns then rained from her shoulders and Jianglong laughed as he gathered the rain into spikes and shot them out to attack the thorns. Jianglong then turned and started to walk away.

Behind him the rose demon was in the air, and was pierced by the spikes of water and walking away Jianglong said," May the gods forgive the human for the sins of the demon." Jianglong's halberd shattered into water and his armor did the same. Tang then smiled and said," I hope they are forgiven." People looked at Tang as he walked away and they all shouted," Hero thank you so much." Tang turned and said," No I am not a hero all I am is a poor fishermen, so just make sure that these women get a proper burial." The citizens smiled and Tang left to walk back to his home.

The young woman, named Haruka, merely continued to dance around the drunk's wild, unfocused swordsmanship while maintaining a rather straight face. Without warning, the buxom young woman grabbed one of the empty plates from a nearby table, and nonchalantly blocked the final katana strike with it, much to the drunken man's surprise. Of course, this did not escape Haruka's notice.

"Oh, do not be surprised, you drunken buffoon. Your inebriated state makes your movements wild yet predictable. Besides..." she told the drunkard as she shoved the katana's blade aside, and with one mighty swing, knocked the drunkard out cold with the same plate. "...your lack of focus is appalling for a samurai....that is, If I can call you one," Haruka finished disdainfully, placing the plate gently back onto the table. Glancing back at the attractive young waitress she had just saved, she noticed that amidst the tears was a smile, prompting her to move forward and place a reassuring hand on the girl's shoulder. "It's going to be all right now. That bothersome man will be out for a long while," Haruka nodded to the girl, knowing that the alcohol in the drunkard's body will keep him sedated for a good few hours.

Bringing her attention back to the drunk man, Haruka began to notice a rather tall, cloaked man approaching, the bottom half of his face (which was exposed to the light) riddled with blonde facial hair. Whoever this man is, he seems rather unfriendly. I better reassure him that the incident is nothing special, Haruka thought to herself with a frown, departing from the waitress's side to approach the mysterious tall man. "Please do not worry about this any further, good sir. Just sit down and enjoy your stay at this fine establishment," the well-endowed young woman assured the tall man, hoping that the man would return to his seat and just order food.

((OOC: Nee, Undrave-san. Are the demonic blades able to shatter things like plates upon contact? Just curious. ^^;; ))

((OOC: the cursed blades? Why yes they are better than normal weapons, but weaker than Sacred Weapons.))

Blackfeather rushed to the top of the small wall. There a few archers were already shooting at the beast. Arrows were sticking out of its broad shoulder as it trashed around and tried to reach for the villagers. Blackfeather took out an arrow and with all the mastery of a great hunter he shot the beast straight in the eye!

With a loud howl the beast ran away on all four. Blackfeather had the time to shoot two more arrows, adding to the pin-cushion look of the beast.

"The blood loss should kill it before dawn tomorow." He stated from experience hunting bears.

"I wouldn't count on it stranger." Said the man who had allowed him in "The beast has been shot at multiple times but everytime it returns without sign of injury! This monster is not of this world!"

"You mean its not an animal of this land?" Asked the foreigner.

"Off course not! You think we'd be out here if there was such dangerous creatures around?! What kind of country do you think Japan is?!" Replied the man, fuming.

Blackfeather kept his calm "I'm sorry. I had never left the land of my tribe before I came to your country."

"I see..." Continued the man, calming down as he climbed down from the wall "My name is Toshiro and you could say I'm the leader of this little logging camp. Where are you from...Blackfeather was it?"

"I come from far away to the East." Answered the foreigner as he too climbed down.

"To the East?"

"I heard from travelling hunters that the white men call it 'the New World'."

"Never heard of it, sorry. Well Blackfeather we don't have much food but I can at least offer you some tea!" Proposed Toshiro.

"I've never had tea. I will be happy to try. As for food I had a small supply of dried fish from my land. I would be glad to share."

"Great news! Com'on men we have a few hours before the beast will reappear! Let's go get some warmth!" Called out Toshio, gathering his forces.

Blackfeather was wondering why a group of men would be out here all alone. Toshiro had called it a camp but the houses looked far more solid than any wigwam or teepee he had ever seen in a camp. Blackfeather had seen buildings in his trip to Japan that had totally exceeded whatever he knew, and he was really enjoying the experience. It wasn't apparant on his face, he had been trained by his grandfather to keep a stoic face at every possible moment, but Blackfeather was quite happy to have been accepted by these folks. The weight on his belt seemed to be thinking the same thing: he would hunt and kill the beast for these men. His Sacred Weapon was telling him it was linked to his mission somehow, but even if it wasn't he would have done so.

It had crossed his mind before that for some reason nor another, all these people of a far off land were speaking English. Whether it was a language they shared across the globe, or witchcraft, he was not certain, but he did not much care. The blonde man lightly nudged the unconscious drunk’s head with his foot, and his mouth twisted into a vicious sneer.

“I’m sure you people wouldn’t appreciate this simpering corpse being left on the floor like this,” he said, “so I’ll take the pleasure of relieving you all of him. Such an odious oik will only stink out this place.”

Not that it doesn’t stink enough already. Whatever it is these people eat, the scent is questionable.

Reaching down, he grabbed the drunk by his hair and dragged him out of the pub, and then returned a few minutes later. Anyone who dared to go outside would find the unfortunate soul tied to a tree with his arms spread like Christ on the cross. As he passed Haruka, the stranger whispered, “Pardon me for saying so, pretty madam, but you’re the first woman I’ve seen in this grassy little country who has any kind of shape to her, probably the first pleasant thing I’ve seen during my time here.” He accentuated his words with a wheezy laugh that resonated with tiredness.

He looked at the nearby waitress, who was still in an emotional state from the incident not long ago. “How about a beer? None of that ‘sucky’ stuff, I mean real ale. One for the lovely too.”

Shizuko had done all she could to help Sakuya and the villagers put out the fires in the village and both her and the young girl had taken a small break. Sakuya told the shrine maiden what had happened to her grandfather, the mysterious female ninja that had killed the captain-turned-demonic ant, and the warrior who wielded lightning and exterminated the soldiers. "All of tha-that happened outside...I-I must of have been too scared to hear anything...but I am truly sorry about your grandfather, Sakuya-san...m-maybe his spirit can rest easy now that the monster is dead." The Shrine Maiden said this to reassure the young girl in the floral kimono, though she did had a sad look on her face. "Yes...perhaps that is true...I...I have to try and move on...he would have wanted that."

"That's a brave thing to say, Sakuya-san...um...I...I have a small request...could...could you maybe accompany me on my journey?" Shizuko stammered out. Sakuya was a little surprised at this offer. "Why do you ask that , Shizuko-san? I thought you said you traveled alone..." The shrine maiden fidgeted a little. "Yes, I did...but...it's just that things get a little lonely...and..." The red-eyed woman than placed her face closer to the young girl's ear so no else could hear what she had to say. "Maybe it would be best if you came with me...I mean, those monsters did attack the village for your Rain Charm...and the other villagers might not be very happy with you because of these recent events." After taking in Shizuko's whispers, Sakuya shook her head as the shrine maiden pulled away from her face. "I...I can't go...grandpa wanted me to stay here and live a normal life..." Shizuko seemed a little disappointed, but came up with a quick, almost uncharacteristically cryptic response. "Can you really have that now, though?"

This put the young girl into thought. What the shrine maiden has said was true...but...her grandfather's wishes...she then scanned what used to be her village. She could see only ruin and destruction, brought upon the small trinket around her neck. After a few moments in silence, Sakuya came to a decision. "I...I'll go with you...I'll try my best not to be a burden to you." This caused Shizuko to wave her hands frantically. "No, no, it's no problem...um, if you need to say goodbye to anyone, now's your chance." Sakuya then set off to do just that as Shizuko kept an eye on her. If I keep this girl close...not only will I ensure the Rain Charm's safety...but this will also be good bait for those demons... After a few minutes of waiting, Sakuya had finished and the two girls left the village behind them, heading to the next one...

(OOC: Um, if this conflicts with anything Undrave, I'll change it...)

Being a loner in life Tang had always felt alone, but being able to use his powers has helped him live with loneliness. In his home Tang laid in his bed, and thought of his life before being a hero. Tang hated the loneliness, and so he quit thinking of the subject and went to sleep.

After a good rest Tang woke up, and got ready to go fishing so he could make some money. Tang changed clothes, and he grabbed his fishing rod, and ran to the river near his home. Tang loved being near the water he felt so close to the sea with his powers making him use water, but even though he knew he had power it didn't me he didn't respect people. Tang believed that people shouldn't pay a man for defending them, and he hoped that others with powers similar to his own would not follow that path.

Adoring the breeze, and the feel of the water on his feet he thought," What will I do if no one else is around to help me in this task of fighting, and will I ever be able to defeat them without killing a person?" Tang caught a fish and pulled it out of the water. After catching twelve fish he said," Two for me, and ten for the people." He would come back to catch more the next day, but for now it was to the market.

Glancing around the establishment as the murmurs over the 'fight' died down, Cahal could only shake his head. This, he recalled, was the reason he'd forsaken others and lived his life alone in the forests of his homeland.

But the whispers that persisted when he did step foot in a town, never ceased to amaze him and of course, annoyed him to no end. Ranging from being called a sorcerer to a demon to a banished knight, the whispers never stopped. Though he'd never acknowledge it, one rumor was partially true. He was a knight... just not the kind that was usually seen.

He was a Dragoon, a Knight of the Dragon. His partner always remained in the forest when Cahal went into a town. But that wasn't necessary now...

-Five Days Earlier-

The beetle demon slashed at Cahal with its sword once again, aiming for weakened point in his armor. Cahal narrowly blocked the blow with the Gae Blog. Exhaustion was taking its told on him and the coming dusk made it even harder to see.

Raiden, his wyvern partner, saw an opening and attacked feriously with a mix of his fire breath and claws. But even Raiden was getting tired... for the fierce battle had been raging since daybreak.

Cahal rejoined the battle ordering Raiden to back away as he thrust Gae Blog at the demon, hoping to wound it or even just disarm it for a moment. The tip of the spear connected with the demons chest, sending a short bolt of lightning throughout it's body. The sword fell to the ground as the beetle demon collasped, stunned. Cahal knew it was probably going to be his only chance to end the battle.

Raising the Gae Blog to the sky, Cahal began to charge his finishing attack. The only other person to have seen it, dubbed it "The Dragon's Dance" before passing away from his wounds. Raiden watched the demon wearily as it staggered to it's feet. As Cahal rushed it, lightning sparking from the Gae Blog's tip, Raiden saw something Cahal couldn't at that moment.

A spell.

Without a thought, Raiden dove down, shooting past the shocked Cahal and right at the demon. Roaring, the demon thrust its ice-covered hand forward. Cahal would never forget what happened next. The memories haunted him at all hours of the day.

The demons hand connected with Raiden's chest, at the same moment Raiden had begun to breathe fire. The ice spell exploded and a moment later it seemed so had Raiden. But Cahal could see it... the ice ripping completely through the wyvern's body, shards shredding his wings. An moment later, Raiden plummetted to the ground, landing with a sickening thud and a final, gurgling chirp.

Cahal stood in shock and horror, as he could only watch his partner die. The demon stood, laughing wickedly. Cahal roared in rage, once again charging his final attack, and before the demon could register anything, the Gae Blog had pierced it's skull. But it wasn't enough, Cahal stabbed the corpse over and over, until he finally passed out from exhustion, next to Raiden's corpse. A burst of violet light, and the armor was gone, not that Cahal knew at the time.

When he managed to awake, Cahal cried over Raidens body, vowing revenge on the monsters that stole his friend from him. Carrying Raiden to the place where the first met, Cahal buried him, saying his final goodbye.

He spent the next three days mourning. Finally, on the fourth day, he was ready. Summoning his mount, Raiden's brother dragon, Cahal took to the sky. Upon enter the air over the new land, Cahal felt a surge of energy shoot through him. Although he wouldn't know what it meant until much later.

-The Present-

Cahal forced the memories away and stood up. He adjusted his cloak, which covered his flame red hair but let his green eyes be seen. Unlike many of this land, he carried a spear rather then a sword to defend himself with.

Seeing as the foreigner obviously cared more for beer than people, Cahal walked over to the waitress and silently offered her a hand up, which she accepted with a quiet "Thank You".

Although he was still getting used to being around other people and actually speaking to them, he felt a great annoyance at the other man's rudeness. Enough to overcome his uncertainty for the moment.

"I... believe what you speak of... it is called Sake."

***************************
(OOC: Sorry for the long intro, hope it's ok. The energy simply changed the way he calls the armor, now he must say "Henshin" aka turns him into a Kamen Rider now.)
