Kain
Lurker
It was stranger looking in the reflections seen in windows and mirrors, seeing the usual masses going about their usual business in the reflection, but being totally alone. Thats how it was on the other side simply known as the Mirror World, which much to the suprise of some was a puratory of sorts where certain souls were gathered for the opportunity to earn another chance at life in a game known as the Ressurection Trial. No one who participated in the game ever understood it's origins or even how long this had been going on, they just knew the rules and conditions set before them.
As always not a soul was around as Kyle walked around in the mirror world, looking for mirror monsters to slay while waiting to be approached with a mission by one of the mysterious Mirror Guides. All while he wandered randomly he kept his advent deck, known as the Abyss Deck in his right hand so he could transform at a moments notice, on this side it always wise to be prepared for a conflict, wether it was from a monster or a fellow rider looking to gain some quick points you would have to be able to transform at a moment's notice. On the plus side on this side of the mirror people had no need to eat, sleep or even use the bathroom thus making it that much more easier to remain on your guard. So far Kyle hadnt ran into any other riders in his time in the game , something he was rather greatful for. He wasnt really comfortable of erasing someone else, after all they could deserve another chance just as much as him, at the same time he knew not all riders thought like him and he was naturally unsure of if he could trust any of them.
If it werent for some of the circumstances Kyle might actually enjoy his situation, in some ways it was sort of a dream come true. He had the ability to become a powerful warrior and fight off creatures which preyed on humans, in a sense he was like the super heroes he idolized when he was alive, but the fact that he was dead and fighting to live again made it somewhat bittersweet. In a strange way it made the hero like experience more authentic, after all many heroes had rather dark origins involving a tragedy and were faced with dilemmas similar to his with the other riders. Maybe he would one day write about his days here, after all he would retain the memories of what happened here since part of the game was living with the decisions you made to get revived in the end, chances are it would be an entertaining graphic novel that could earn some money if he managed to gain his second chance.
"Looks like I better get ready to fight..." Kyle muttered so himself as a robed figure, whose face was obscured by the shadows cast by their hood apparoached him, this was one of the mirror guides who typically gave small scale missions to the riders.
"In five minutes this area will flood with mirror monsters, erase as many as possible, bonus points will be awarded to the rider who erases the most, all others will recieve half as many points as usual." the Mirror Guide told him. "You have five minutes to prepare yourself." it said before vanishing.
Sounds simple enough..... Kyle thought after hearing the mission assigned to him. Wait...whichever rider gets the most? Does that mean there is gonna be other riders involved? Oh boy.... Up until now most missions were done by himself, this must have been a sign that they were beginning to step things up so they could thin out the herd a little, in any case Kyle was a little nervous about what was about to be his first encounter with other riders, chances are the other riders had recieved identical instructions as well and a few may have been deciding to target their competition during this mission.
"Well, I got a little bit before it's game time, might as well suit up." he said before holding his deck up to the mirror, causing the vent buckle to materialize around his waist. "Henshin." and with that a blue sphere of light appeared around him, just in case an enemy got anxious it would shield him while transforming, and once his armor had formed it vanished. "Now I just gotta wait...."
((Once a few people post I'll commence this big ass fight))
