I meant the box office numbers.

Decade All Riders -> $19,418,091 (full number apparently was closer to $21,000,000)
Double & Decade Movie Wars -> $16,035,761
Den-O -> $11,276,171
Kiva -> $7,972,682
Chou Den-O -> $7,510,661
Kabuto -> $7,208,917
Den-O Final Countdown -> $7,119,993
Den-O&Kiva-> $6,908,255
The Next -> $913,844

The Next performed significantly worse than any other Heisei Rider movie. I've never found numbers for The First though.

If only Kiva can be popular than Den-O. I prefer Kiva more than Den-O.

Den O is popular because of its humor and also with the whole time travel ordeal. it will never go away, I can gurantee that.

I'm not really sure about the humor part, but I can definitely say it's the characters (specifially the Imagin) that make it popular.

It somehow survived Decade outperforming it, but the current rumors point to Double becoming the next movie franchise. Of course, nothing has been announced yet, but we'll see...

Den-O might sell well, but it has never been too popular anyway. The ratings are barely higher than Kiva's, the least popular out of the Heisei Rider franchise and the only movie that performed significantly well compared to other Rider movies at the time was the first one, which basically had 2 episodes of the tv show entirely made to advertise it. And even that movie now has been eclipsed by Decade's and Double's. Also, unless the budget for the entire Den-O Trilogy movie was equivalent to the budget of a single Rider movie, they all performed pretty weakly.

Now, what the sponsors wanted was merchandising selling, and Den-O did that well. For the later sequel movies, it also had the advantage of the most popular characters being just suits + voice actors, rather than actual actors with busy schedules, which probably helped with the costs, but I think it has reached its ending.

The last time I said this, they still announced the Trilogy, so I could turn out to be completely wrong again, but the rumors this time point in another direction and the performance of the franchise in general makes more Den-O pretty unnecessary, especially with other, possibly more profitable, pathways opening.
