Am I one of the few here who absolutely loves Kougami and his borderline lunacy? He's so odd and unnerving and chews the scenery to bits in every scene he's in, I can't get enough of him. It's like he has a condition like Tourettes or something, making him suddenly exclaim random words in his speech :castlerock:

I actually liked him a lot in episode one. But him emphasizing certain words unnecessarily really ticks me off for some reason. Guess I found another pet peeve. Oh, I hate that King Kong kaijin in Goseiger too. God his emphasizing on the last word in every sentence was both long and annoying. Bleh.

I'm looking forward to episode 6. (following tv-nihon's HD subs since .mvk files refuses to play smoothly to me.)

From my previous post, I said how much I would like Gotou to be the 2nd possible Rider. Now I'm even more convinced that he will be a good candidate. I think he provides a good dynamic between Eiji's realistic approach to saving people, to his idealistic approach.

Remember how he said "If you can't keep one Greeed under control, can you really save the world?" and Eiji's response "The world, huh? You sure do think big. Well, personally... I like to focus on what's in front of me."

I still do not want Gotou to be the secondary Rider. It would be incredibly dull and predictable which, as this is Kobayashi, means she's almost certainly going to do it. He fits the stereotype of arrogant/antagonistic second Rider to a T - can't we have a change just for ONE bloody year?

I agree with the above; I also think Gotou would be more reliable, in a way. A more professional and "mature" Rider who has a broader and more experienced view than Eiji himself. I definetly think that Gotou wouldn't be the sort of Rider to rush in without planning ahead and then getting his ass kicked when the initial plan failed (see Eiji's fight with the fat cat Yummy )

As such it would also be fitting for Gotou to be a tech Rider. Guns, electronics, everything would work towards Gotou fighting the way he'd know and excell at.
