Yes, the Mantis core medal belongs to Uva. Yummies are made only of cell medals. The Yummy are born from a cell medal corresponding to their Yummy form but the medals they create from eating human desire isn't just limited to cell medals of their Yummy form.

The Greeed are trying to retrieve their core medals to become whole again, so using a core medal to create a monster, only for Eiji to kill the monster and take the medal probably wouldn't be a smart thing I would assume.

So there can be Cell Medals and Core Medals of the same animal? Do the Cell Medals Yummies create get transferred to the Greeds?

And why are there two bird Medals seen at the end of the episode before the next ep. preview? One looks like the Hawk, but what about the other?

-Yes there are cell and core medals of the same animal.

-We see the cells medals that were scattered by the defeat of the Mantis Yummy being taken by the Hawk Candroids in ep2. So that most likely means the Yummies eating more human desire to make more cell medals only helps them(yummy) become stronger.

-As for the 2 bird medals, they are the same medal (Taka/Hawk). I think that the 2nd one just represents Ankh.
