I felt like I was reliving the MF nightmare when I watched OOO, that's why I hated it, in fact, I just don't like series who try too hard to be different. It's sad really. The fact that it completely underminded all rider lore and structure is a start.

Also it seems like they're dealing with sexism because women often get held back from obtaining higher positions then the men in workplaces, not just in north america but in asia as well. Actually, I can't find any real proof of sexism in the episode, when watching it subtitled. Sure, the guy replacing her is a douche, but you don't have to be sexist to be a douche. The head of the hospital states that the patients don't belong to her, they belong to the hospital, something she reacts to with what amounts to a temper tantrum.

She's clearly overzealous and full of pride about her abilities, and she apparently 'loves to operate on people' or whatever. This isn't something you want to see in a line of work where your personal qualities are important to a person's life, regardless of whether or not your pride is warranted. Her boss even says that she's not qualified to do so many operations, because it endangers the patients.

They're not reigning her in and holding her back because she's a FEMALE doctor, they're holding her back because she's (both ethically and ability-wise) a BAD doctor

That's a rather naive outlook, don't you think? One could most certainly become prideful if one receives lots of accolades. It's not a given, sure, but it's a distinct possibility.

You don't normally make a character who is wronged and meant to illicit at least some sympathy to act like a jerk.

Maybe that happens, but what does that have to do with this episode? Again, you really don't have any evidence other than Kei happens to be female and her colleagues male. If the sexes had been switched (Kei as a male, and the rest female) but everything else stayed the same, would you say there was sexism there?
