Still haven't picked up OOOs. So, at 2 eps, is it shaping up to lean toward funny, or serious, or what? So at least I know what I'm getting into rather than have a blurred misconception (Onore Decade!) about the series...

Right now, OOO is a mixture of being both funny & serious. Not to mention there a lot of vague homages from Kuuga to W in this show. For example that fight with the Ant Yummy was almost a nod to Hibiki.

Speaking of homages, I am sorta feeling a Kuuga vibe from OOO for some reasons. Though I haven't seen any homages yet. Or did I just missed them? I have only watched episode one since I don't fancy watching an episode in a language I don't understand without english subtitles. >>

I don't know what it is but Eiji's like some beautiful mixture of Yuusuke, Shouichi, and just a bit of Shinji. He has that curious, child-like demeanor that flies out the window whenever there's a person to save and out comes the guardian.

And his goofy "skill" to believe everyone's a good guy. Hm, guess that really does sound a bit like a mixture of Yusuke, Souichi and Shinji. Other than that, I still can't pinpoint why I feel the Kuuga vibe though, maybe it's the atmosphere of the first episode. :O

Well, there are quite a few things that might make ya think that way. Goofball bum who moves around a lot and believes in saving people, ancient stone belt brought to life, ancient baddies brought to life, ancient baddies "reconvening" to plot out their next moves etc. ......

Now all we need is a beautiful university researcher and a bad ass cop XD

After watching Episode 2, suddenly i have this urge to go and buy those darn Candroids ... they are so awesome and cheaper than the Memory Gadgets and they would look as a display

the second episode seemed better, haven't seen the translation yet but im guessing that anku wanted to wait for it to transform so he could get the medals this makes me think that over the course of the sereis his body will grow and increase untill he is whole again -which would make sense as to why he only has one red core medal

over all im still on the fence this fight was ok but mostly spectical since it was not humanoid. however its ok. how good the show will be i can't say i do hope it will be but it still has some problems
