Same here. I rewatched that part thinking I have missed something and what not, it only tells that the 10th was removed. And to stop the Greeed, they used the power of the Core Medals they took fight.

Even if it says "removed", the animation suggests it was destroyed... Though it's weird that it shows there are actually 4 Cores for the head (Kuwagata), so I'm not sure if what was shown was intended to be correct.

Logically, permanently removing the 10th Core by destroying it can indeed lead to the infinite desire of the Greeeds because of the lack of that essential component to make up for it, though if anything, I'm guessing the 10th Core medal will play a vital role somewhere in the future.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, from present day, 800 years ago would be the 13th century (1200s). Those times, science was already present, but there's prevalence of magic, witchcraft, voodoo, and what not. Combining those would result in the possibility of creating those medals.

LOL, the explanation is simple, all they did was to always make sure that the henshin sequence animation for the face will have a standard time. :sweat::laugh:

I'm guessing either somebody found a weakness, or one of the Greeeds aligned him/herself with the previous OOO to defeat the other Greeeds, thus making him the sole Greeed to exist?

Yeah, could be, hence he wasn't seen in the 800 years ago flashback... Unless it wasn't intended...

Maybe the 10th Core was only removed at that time, OOO used it to fight the Greeeds. After defeating them and sealing them, the scientists destroyed the 10th Core to avoid any more hassle.

Unless the subs are wrong, it does say removed and destroyed. I think musashi03's suggestion is right. Ankh seems to be attached to humans, and he helped them get the cores from the other Greeeds. Probably with the idea that he'll have all of those cores for himself, once the other Greeeds have been put away... :thumbs:

I said that in my previous post because there are different subbing groups, say different wordings maybe used. So my explanation kinda makes sense for both removed and destroyed.
