The science used 800 years ago was more advanced than the present ones today!!

either we humans are degrading or those scientists were actually from the future and thought messing up history by creating monsters that could destroy the human race was a good cause

Please correct me if I'm wrong, from present day, 800 years ago would be the 13th century (1200s). Those times, science was already present, but there's prevalence of magic, witchcraft, voodoo, and what not. Combining those would result in the possibility of creating those medals.

And they were. For you see, thousands of years ago scientists from the future came to the past in order to teach us the ways of there modern fast pace life styles. They taught us about medicine, automobiles, and how to make blankets with sleeves but we were to stupid to handle there blanket, sleeve technology and went insane using there science for mad experiments. One of which was but not limited too putting animals inside of coins! Grasshoppers, lions, and even the forbidden red tailed monkey. Soon we went even more isaner than previously mentioned and destroyed our own creations some of which were these coins. Ruining the sets of ten and only leaving nine. The most pathetic number of any civilization. This caused the medals to come to life, longing to be complete. They consumed all. Money, material possessions, and even late 70's pop sensation Daryl Hall, and well....you pretty much know what happened from there....

Same here. I rewatched that part thinking I have missed something and what not, it only tells that the 10th was removed. And to stop the Greeed, they used the power of the Core Medals they took fight.
