Huh... no. I'm pretty sure he's talking about cell medals not based on core medals. He has mentioned that idea several times before, but it just doesn't seem like they're going to do that.

So there definitely are Cell Medals that aren't simply repainted Cores.

Cell Medals aren't repainted in the first place. they're just molded with grey plastic, though each has a shared back side that physically differentiate them from Core Medals.

a medal collector will also tell you that Core Medals have die-cast metal outer rings, while Cell Medals are all-plastic

though it is likely that there are some cell medals with no Core counterpart

EDIT: I forgot Peacock and Ptera had Core counterpart too. But there are still those Crab and Scorpion Cells that Birth has.

The Nobunaga Kaijin has been called a Greeed in several scans, so there should be some core medals with him too. It was shown with a Crab-like claw in one of the scans, so I guess Crab, Scorpion and one other medal will be with it.

Crab and Scorpion should go to Mezul and Uva respectively though (assuming we're grouping arachnids with the insects, which previous shows like Kiva did).
