You know I have to say I quite like Birth, because he is a total move anyway from any of the standard Rider design elements. He looks more like a Metal Hero Gashapon line mascot than anything else and that is just awesome. I am probably in the minority here but I hope that design philosophy behind Birth (and Accel) continues especially with future secondary Riders.

Actually, I find his silhouette to be quite evocative of G3, only the color theory at work in the design is quite bad. Bright green is a primary is interesting, but then the rest of the design uses three neutrals (white, black, metallic grey) when most of the time two neutrals at most is advisable. I find the metallic grey portions of his costume confuse the eye and make it hard to know where his points of interest are. Otherwise my eye would gravitate to the white parts, which I think were meant to outline all of his points of interest.

Birth's going to look amazing as a figuarts. I can already see the figures debut at toy shows.

I suppose the toy will be supplied with normal black visor and lite up red visor.

It may just be what I have known longer but the silhouette reminds me more of the Asgardian Destroyer.

While I do see your point with the color, I also see what they are trying to do especially with the breastplate. There is that repeating patterning of the gashapon capsule which they also wanted to invoke with the breastplate, but by separating the colors vertically instead of horizontally was probably a mistake.

Also now that I look at it more the overall design seems to draw a lot from Ryuki designs.

WHY?! It's ridiculous.

Toy list called the new form a "power up", none of the others have been called that. It's also pretty obvious looking at his design, which has its own exclusive helmet, gold trim around all pieces and all 3 medal emblems forming a single symbol in the middle. It's not only the head. The patterns on the chest and leg emblems, although never seen before, clearly don't create the images of individual birds. The standard chest and legs, although unseen, are probably different from the pure red form's shown above, just like the head.

The red form shown is obviously not just another pure form. Why? We don't know that yet. Wait for its debut.

Aren't all pure forms upgrades? Even then, people will continue to say it is an upgrade form because you basically can't say "It's not an upgrade form" on the show. The way people will stop saying that is if another form has more of a change to its suit. Of course I still stand by saying that the Taka head by itself is the default so there should have been something that makes it look better and new, so the head changes in the pure form.

I would have it follow the same design conceits that inform the forms before and after it. TaJaDoru stands apart from GataKiriBa, RaToraTa, and ShaUTa. It's entire design sets it apart from the others.

All forms shouldn't be the same. You're just basing a whole new idea from the assumption that if the design looks different than what you expected, it's an upgrade, but that's not right.

Why not? Where did this assumption come from? There's at least a basis for my claim, as all forms currently (and in the future, in the cause of ShaUTa) spring from a certain design.

Sigh. The medal itself could or could not be the same. The headpiece though is clearly different. Different eye color, larger flair, different symbol on the chest. Expect some page in Terebi calling it a powerup. Toei is horribly predictable about this kind of thing.

And I'm dropping this line, because it's like arguing with Lazy. If you wish to rage against everyone calling it what it's clearly intended to be, enjoy. Midgrade, upgrade, evil, whatever. It's meant to be different from the other pure forms for whatever reason.

You just contradicted yourself. They're not the exact same because of those decorations. they have the same base, but they're not the exact same. even something like added parts is enough to distinguish one thing from another

anyways, looking more at Birth, I think I could get behind this guy(even more so if it turns out to be Goto). On second look at the Birth Driver, ir seems that each of his armamnents is his own unique form change system, and with all that gear, Birth seems like the second coming of G3, which isn't a bad thing. The Birth Buster also seems to have an ingenious design mechanic. from what I can see, it doesn't actually fire off Cell Medals, it uses their power, then drops them into the clip on the bottom, which can then be reloaded back into the top once he's used up al the ones he has. So essentially, he has infinite ammo. Overall, Birth and his system are very intriguing

You're just being picky here. It's the exact same model with the exact same color scheme. If it were the Blade bikes you might have a point as they were all the same base model but with different designs. Not with Den-O however.

All the Pure Forms except TaJaDor, IIRC, have high-contrast eye-on-face colors. So actually, ShaUTa and RaToraTah are perfectly consistent, design-wise. You just... need to know how color theory works. You generally want a superhero character design to be composed of high-contrast colors supported by neutrals (like black in this case), so the audience can easily take and remember in all of the design's details.

What I meant was, when it comes to RaToraTah and ShaUTa, the colors for the eyes and body are swapped with each other (Yellow body/blue eyes and blue body/yellow eyes). But we don't see that with the other forms. GataKiriBa is green with orange eyes. Will we see an orange form with green eyes? I doubt we'll see a red form with white eyes (to complement SaGoZo's white body/red eyes) now with TaJaDor's design released. And what eye color will the dino form (which presumably will have a purple body according to the lights on the OOO belt) have?
