You know the only real problem with Goto thus far that everyone seems to ignore? The actor is miscast for the role. He's supposed to be this former cop-turned-private soldier, yet he's played by a guy who looks more apt for playing a rookie cop.

It might've worked if they had cast a younger looking main Rider (like Wataru and Nago), but as it stands he actually seems to be more neophyte than Eiji, who is presented as someone who's been a great number of places.

It'd be an interesting dynamic: a neophyte second Rider who thinks he knows how the world works, contrasted with a world-weary, carefree main Rider who has been through some real conflict. You get the initial clash of ideals and then the main Rider mentors the second. Less partners and more hero and sidekick.

I actually kinda wanna see that now. It'd be very interesting if it turns out to be the case that Eiji is the one who has to lead and lecture Gotou, who turns out to be the naive one who only wants to save the world without really knowing what he's fighting for.

As it stands now I don't think it's all that likely to happen, but it would certaintly be new and interesting.

Dude, I've never seen someone dislike a character they know nothing about so passionately.

I think there's a difference between hating Narutaki because the series did nothing with him and hating Gotou because the series hasn't had a chance to do anything with him
