I wonder how Kougami is developing Candroids based on Core Medals that, presumably, no one in his organization has ever seen before.

^^Ah, but has he never seen them before? Also, he already had some Cell Medals and Cell Medals are grayed out Core Medals so..yeah.

He more or less has quite the sock of cell medals, which do bare the insignia of the core medals. He's probably just using that to base off his design.

If so, then the Candroids can't really have anything to do with the Core Medals. It is only by massive coincidence that they happen to use the same totem animals.

That maybe is the case, but I don't think it's something that Kobayashi will let pass by her.

Mmm, I dunno. Ryuki was loaded with plot holes. Kobayashi strikes me as more of a character writer.

That said, explaining this would be a chance to add some potentially cool backstory to the show. I'd have to consider it a wasted opportunity if it just passed without comment.

Why does everyone just say "plot holes?"

Freaking Kabuto is the one with the plot holes.

I think there were some predictions/rumors going around that Kougami would end up being either a Greeed-in-hiding (which would definetly explain his drive to gather Cores and/or Cells), or even a/the previous OOO, though both of these are kinda hard to believe since Ankh has had no visible recollection of the guy (yet).

I kinda like the idea of him being a past OOO though, one driven insane by the power he wielded and desperate to regain the power of the Medals by gathering them to him once more.
