When I first saw it I thought mb it was one of those in-character messages to the earthquake victims but it isn't at all. He also talks about eating eggplant (not sea cucumber).

I think so. IIRC he's posted it before, but I have no idea what that post means. During Decade and again around the time of Episode Yellow he made a few posts in character. Maybe he just misses it.

Looks like the suit is made to swap parts easily to me...

The suits have certainly gotten more grandiose than the simple design of Agito or the skin suits of Sentai.

That being said, the new form isn't really that appealing to me. The head seems missing, but until I see it in action, I really don't know what to make of it.
