Anticipation and expectations, two things that came together to create the sensation known as excitement, something that gave a rush to whoever experienced it. Sometimes though the build up to the anticipation and expectation led to something that was a lot less exciting than what was originally believed. Sometimes it just lead to something surprisingly normal and mundane, like a roller coaster that climbed upward for a while only to just even out before even getting that exciting drop. It is the type of thing that would anger most people that experienced it. In the Kougami Foundation Museum there was a young man who was experiencing that at this very moment. A young man by the name of Ray Lawrence. As he continued to my the floors around that rather dull looking stone sarcophagus he thought back to how he ended up here in the first place.
Weird stuff wasn't easily forgettable, and that day was definitely weird stuff. He had just got back from fixing his neighbor's television, getting ready to heat up something in the microwave when he suddenly got a knock on his door. Never the type to ignore a knocking door, after all could be another little request for his assistance. When he opened it he found a curvy gal whose outfit didnt leave too much to the imagination, he almost wondered if another tenant had ordered some special entertainment and that entertainment found itself at his door instead, either that or what was likely the strangest thank you he had ever received from one of the people he worked for. Before he could make any comment she had pulled out an iPad and pointed the screen in his direction and next thing he knew he was being shouted at in broken English by a Japanese guy via a live feed, it wasnt angry shouting though, it was excited happy sounding shouting that was being aimed his way. He would be lying if he said he understood the whole thing but he did manage to understand that he was being offered some kind of job over in Japan. His response to this offer was a mellow "Sure, why not?" which had been followed by a loud and enthusiastic "SUBARASHII!" which managed to knock him flat on his ass before the woman handed him a plane ticket and told him his stuff would be packed up and sent along for him later on, and that his flight would be leaving in a few hours, from the sounds of things they were sure he would agree to go, either that or they were just fine making that gamble, either way these new employers of his seemed like they would be pretty interesting. They had a new apartment all ready for him and had his stuff shipped as promised, and finally his first day at his new job had arrived, and he found that he was just a ordinary maintenance man for the Foundation's museum. Considering all the build up he expected something more interesting, like something out of a movie but nope, just a maintenance guy/janitor for some museum. Still he had a nicer place, he had a paycheck and he still had his favorite frozen foods. Was it a bit of a let down? Yes it was. Was he mad? No not really because even if it wasn't much it was still an improvement over what he had and even a little improvement was just fine.
As he continued to mop around the exhibit he absentmindedly knocked a strange looking object off of the top of the sarcophagus. "Ah crap" quickly he caught the object before it could fall on the groun a break. He momentarily took a look at it, it had three round slots, probably for some sort of key or something and looked like it was pretty damn old too. "I'll just put this back.." he muttered placing it back on top of the sarcophagus at where he assumed it was supposed to go. He checked his watch and looked around for a bit. "looks like I can finally call it a night then." he said before walking off to grab a few things before he left for the night.Unknown to him the sarcophagus' lid had quietly slid over a little, with strange coin like objects began to leak out of it...
